I'm taking the Linux Ubuntu plunge in the following months. I honestly think down at the core level, Windows Vista is a better overall system, but rather than have all that "bloatware" on, Vista could become something good. I honestly think though, the guys at the MPAA and RIAA are going a tad overboard with the DRM and HDCP. It's kinda overkill for the extremes their going through. But moving on, Windows Vista's driver model is a serious improvement in terms of gaming. I'm actually glad that Microsoft had the gamer in mind, along with other people when they designed Vista. Sadly, Windows Aero is something I am not going to touch. Honestly, am I going to need to move my screens in 3D mode? I think not. There is no real use for it unless your trying to do something abstract. All in all, give Vista a couple of years before it starts to go mainstream.

Well, the new os is loaded. I am still having problems with the ActiveX downloads as the X64 is not allowing them and it will not allow me to load my Macafee suite. However, it seems that when I play, I'm moving faster and the gameplay is smoother and the graphics are more like a movie.
