Yes folks, it's time once again to laugh at those silly laws that still stand in North America today. Just pick your state and stare in disbelief at the rulings still in effect:

Iowa - One-armed piano players must perform for free

Utah (SLC) - No one may walk down the street carrying a paper bag containing a violin.

I live in California and there a TON of dumb laws here. I did know about this one, though:
Chico
Detonating a nuclear device within the city limits results in a $500 fine.
I went to college here and this law actually came into effect while I was there. A train carrying some dismantled nuclear weaponary was going to go through the city. Well, they wanted to try and use this law so the train couldn't go through. Funny thing is, there is a missile silo right outside the city. I think it is empty, though.

This is actually a good law. It is always windy, and there are a lot of places you wouldnt want a kite going.
The English language is not to be spoken.
This law seems to be being followed...
