I think I'll retract my vote for zero momentum. A lot of what has been said here makes sense. I can at least appreciate momentum for its entertainment value. I always get a good laugh when someone knocks me over the edge. But it also takes a little consideration on both sides of the situation. Players have to learn to stay away from the edges and also be careful about where they direct their weapons.
From the way you said that, I think you meant your vote is to keep the momentum, a.k.a. the current settings?

I can't take credit for this idea. If the person who suggested it wants to come forward, I'd live to give him/her credit for her/his idea

I think we should leave it how it is. like has been said in other posts it will make it TOO easy. Part of the fun is having the possibility that you'll get shoved off a map by your team. it's part of the challenge! and besides when people complain about getting shoved off repeatedly we tell them to find a spot and set their trans. to tell the truth I've never been shoved off by a teammate.. it says so-and-so killed me once in a while but it was never actually their fault.

How about a Sturdy ability instead? So those that feel up tight about it can buy the skill, others can keep their points and get bounced?
(oops, there I go again diverting a thread. Sorry)

Actually, we already have a sturdy weapon. If we implement this in any fashion, we should extend that to zero-damage fire (right now, it works by zeroing momentum in TakeDamage.)

Implementing a sturdy ability would render the sturdy weapon almost useless. It's not very useful right now, but if a person were to have the sturdy ability, it could also render the knockback weapon in TDM maps almost useless. I say keep sturdy weapons and not implement the sturdy ability.

I dont want to be "babied" when I play. It's part of the pitfalls of the game and this server. If I get knocked off by someone, oh well, I accept it. Just dont do it again
Leave it as is...

I have done my fair share of complaining when I get knocked off the map every other wave in Breakfast but playing maps like that is a choice. If you don't like it feel free to take a break from playing when those maps come around. No one will make fun of you for it.

Thus far, the vote is still in favor of such a change...

If you make counter shove work based on momentum recieved as oposed to damage then you might get a similar effect.
you would be much less likely to see someone deemering 6 of their teamates on a map like spacenox. Which BTW I have spent an entire round in the air and trying to recover from being repetedly "floated" from superweapons.
