Computer Parts and info

Okbeen doing some brain storming and such about a new rig.
Now a SSD by my understanding you can load the OS on it and it'll boot faster and it can be write protected also...so does that mean it has less chance of virus attacks?

Nothing noticable. Ultimate has a few more bells and whistles to play with but also takes up more room on the hard drive.

I'm running Win 7 home pro on my gaming pc and love it.

Win 7 Pro here too - no need for Ultimate for my setup (even with multiple computers and home network)

ok since win 8 is out now whats the real diff in it and is it worth using it over win7??

Stick with 7. 8 is mainly for touch screens and tablets.

Ok now I also have the cash for a new rig the question is build from ground up or buy a pre-built one?

Now water cooling is supposed to be better but have never messed with it would not want a accident to happen when blowing out case. is it quieter or just a mute point since with a better case I'll have more fans in it?

How about some input on what to build...keeping in mind I like AMD and ATI.

I did answer the case noise--liquid cooling. To air cool a 6 core processor will take some of the biggest air coolers made, with the resulting increase in noise. The liquid cooling I chose (similiar to what I have now) runs around $60.00 or so versus a good air cooler about $120.00 or so. You can get 1 video card now and add another matching card later.

Case looks good and you can go with another motherboard.

been looking at the rig builder by cyberpower on wally's site, don't know if I want to go that way or go to fry's and buy the parts (9 bout an hr drive)
