Ok got the new rig today..took pics with phone...did a transfer to old comp...no find pics!?????


need to see if I have a peice of wood to set it on so air can get in the bottom vent, and then grab a 15" screen from the garage to hook old on and copy the stuff (only some of it) that I have on it, but when I find the pics or take new ones I'll post em.
I may be getting old and falling apart but I can sure can raise Hell and have fun doing it!

Ok bad news... I can't find the Game disks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My cpu upgrade should be here by the end of the week. (can't up the whole machine, but am going from a e6500 which I have to mess with the bios to actually get it to run on my 680i, to a q6600 quad. It isn't the newest thing, but will increase my abilities with a new set of ram I hope.) And I came across my discs the other day, so i think I may load them up and give it a go. It's been so long, I doubt I'll last more then 5 waves, LOL.

Ok question...should I partition my 1TB HDD to seperate the OS from other stuff or wait and get a SDD? and if I partition what size should I do for the OS, and does win7 do a page file??( I have not dug into the system much yet to putz with it )

A Q6600 is still valid. I just updated one I built a few years ago to Windows 7 Pro. I swapped the RAID1 system out with a single SSD since the customer had purchased an external backup, but everything's working well and I haven't heard from her since. (Which is good, when she has problems I hear about them until my phone bill can't tolerate it anymore!)
