$2369.00 before tax. The build thru the normal channels was $3269.00 before tax. Trying to decide if the wireless card is worth it.

well traditionally wired has faster throughput but I'm not sure if the new "N" spec is comparable. It just depends on where you gonna be from the source and if you have cable ran already or not.

Interesting. Currently, off the 802.11n, I still average 40-50 ping when playing.

well thats all fine and dandy for network use but everyone is limited by the 10Mbs to the net! which I find really screwy since cable and dsl offers faster speeds than what the "modem" can pass to the net lol

Some carriers are offering 50 and 100 Mbps access, but at a steep price. People just don't realize that everything in the middle and the target of your access more than likely isn't that fast and you will only be as fast as the slowest bottleneck. I have a 20Mbps connection and am quite happy with it. I don't expect a WAN as grand as this to be as fast as a wired LAN.

Update,

Didn't get the Aurora ALX, got the Area 51 ALX instead.

Specs:

Alienware Area-51 ALX Cosmic Black Desktop
Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64 (changed to Win 7 Ultimate 64 that was loaded on the old Aurora ALX—used that WD Caviar Black hard drive so no reloading of programs or apps, hehe)
1 GB Single ATI Radeon HD 5770 GDDR5 (have another one on order for crossfire)
6 GB Triple Channel DDR3 1333MHz (3 DIMMs) (upgrading to XMS3 CMX12GX3M3A1333C9-12GB 3 DIMMS)
Intel Core i7-980 Processor Extreme Edition(12MB L2 Cache, 3.33GHz)-factory overclocked to 4.0GHz
750 GB SATA II Hard Drive (7200RPM) (took out the Seagate 750GB hard drive and put in my 4 WD Caviar Black 750GBs)
Alienware High-Performance Liquid Cooling
24X CD/DVD burner (DVD+/-RW) w/double layer write capability
Blu-ray Disc Combo (DVD+/-RW + BD-ROM)
Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeGamer (D) Sound Card
Alienware TactX Mouse (not using)
Alienware MM Keyboard (not using)

HAPPY FATHERS DAY TO ME

Edited my post to make it a little more clear. Have it up and running but trying to get the Alienware Command Center to work so I can have the pretty lites flashing and reset the internal temp controls.
