Just got back from seeing 1408
My opinion on it, is that it wasn't very good. Wasn't scary, just a lil strange. Expected it to be better, but I should know by now that these new "scary" movies aren't all that, (with the excpetion of Saw(s) ).
If you want to see it, wait for the dvd release...

1408 is a movie based on the short story by Stephen King and starring John Cusack as a horror novelist who tries to stay more than an hour in a hotel room number 1408. Basicly, he's done this for years and written many books on haunted hotels and the like, and has never experienced a "ghost", therefore thinks this room/hotel is no diffrent. The hotel manager, Samuel L. Jackson, warns him against staying in the room, but ends up giving him the key to the room and the wierdness begins....

I just rented Pan's Labyrinth, I'm not sure if I liked it or not. It was nothing like I expected whatsoever. The violence in the movie is pretty rough, I'm really surprised at how graphic it was. I don't mind violent movies, but this movie kind of made me a question how much they should have shown or needed. I think the story is fantastic, but the movie is quite depressing. It's definitely worth renting if you haven't seen it, but be prepared for a dark sort of fairytale. I'd give it a 8/10... amazing story, great acting.... but the violence kind of put me off in this one... it seemed too excessive for this type of movie.

I saw Nancy Drew yesterday I have to say it was probably the worst movie I had ever seen. My 2 year old cousin wanted to see it so I toke her thinking that it would be ok( It was a total chick flick.)
The way that they expose teenage girls to be I think it is totally wrong. They make them seem like all they care or think about is just really dumb things. I have not seen one teenage girl who acts like that and honestly i was a little offened. If my girlfriend acted like that there would be some MASSIVE problems. But over all I didnt like it but my little cousin who is a girl really liked it. Probably alot of other girls that would see it they would probably really like it. So if you are a guy and you want to see this alone then for your sake think again or you will spend 1 hour and 30 minutes being miserable.

Ummm... hate to break it to ya, but I haven't seen that movie yet.
Looking forward to Ratatouille. And HARRY POTTER! I already have my book on reserve and made plans to go out with friends to the midnight showing! My coworkers already know why I won't be showing up at work the day after
