USED PARTS FOR SALE

Since my pc went bellyup due to my stupidity in breaking the housing around the motherboard battery when removing the bad video card and right now, I'm using my laptop for everything, I'm parting out my 775 desktop and want to offer the parts to my friends first before listing on E-bay. Please understand that I cannot offer any type of warranty on them. PM me if you are interested in one or all of the parts mentioned below,

Parts are:

1. Core 2 Extreme quad QX6700 processor and Zalman 9500 CPU fan--$175.00 (you will get the broken board with it).

2. Antec 1000W Truepower Quattro Modular power supply-$150.00

3. Mitsumi FA404M 4-IN-1 combination floppy/flash drive-$25.00

4. Samsung 18X SATA Dual Layer DVD+/- RW Drive, Lightscribe Tech-$25.00

5. Thermaltake Xaser II (A6000C) case-$25.00

Later, I will offer 2 WD 74 GB 10K rpm Raptors at $50.00 each.

Shipping is not included in the prices listed but shouldn't be too much.

A long time ago, I had a spare compaq computer that I was going to give away. The thing used a unique drive mount bracket that I couldn't find replacements for, so I had to use hot glue to mount the cdrom drive.

I wish I still had the picture of it...it was quite a sight.

Too bad you dont have a GeForce 7600 or better class AGP card...mine I think is permanently broke from all the overheating.

It's spreading like the flu..... Bad flu..
Ya I cant even have an animated screen saver and I get a BSOD. Most of my crashed in UT are from mild overheats I'm sure from not catching the problem soon enough. Now it's impossible to find a 7600 or better AGP card new anymore. Cant wait to have money again and build 2 new machines for me and my wife. I have plans...big plans..

Also, I have a sneaking suspicion that my initial diagnosis was incorrect. I have RMA'd the Antec power supply and am having the 680i board and processor tested right now.

I should have rephrased my statement...I did do that as well, but I don't recognize the manufacturers, I don't know if they are worth a hoot..and I found many that are from Hong Kong... I think these are not mainstream makers that produce past gen parts for the holdouts.. They do this for motherboards as well...and the ones I have seen are not of any notable quality(i.e. no product review history to make a sound decision on whether to purchase a product of theirs.)

Another thing you can do is go to a computer recycling business. I have had to work on several "legacy" pcs and I get those parts I need from them. They may be used but usually they are tested before being sold or you can insist on testing while you are there.
