Currently, the UT3 server isn't advertising. To open it, start the UT3 Beta Demo game (please don't do this from UT2004!), open a console (press the ` key)

It's a whopping 741 MB. I recommend getting it while you don't want to do anything else with your internet.

Ratar, I'd love to, but Microsoft is having it's evil revenge and punishing me for preferring 2000 to XP. *sigh* I'll let you know if I find a workaround.

It works great on my studio computer (core 2 duo 2.4 ati radeon x1950 4gigs)

But pretty slow on my livingroom computer and needed to update to ati lastest drivers. (2.4 x1600 2gigs)

Doesn't work on xp 64 boo!

Think my GeForce 7800 is a bit old, each time I try and run it I get a black screen then my monitors start turning on and off. I get a bit further each time I run it though. Actually clicked start for instant action last time...

Probably download it sunday night, as I am up in Columbus tonight/sat to do stuff at the house up here and go to an appointment with my Psychologist (for my Aspergers). And then heading back down home around dinner Sat evening, and out most of Sunday... geez... like someone else who has a project due this weekend.

BTW... Ryan (the guy who does the Linux port among other things) said tonight that the dedicated linux server should be showing up soon, but not the client, and that he is starting up a list for ut3 on linux. If folks are interested, I figure Dru or I should be able to provide the details.

Can't wait to get back home for more than a few hours when I am not sleeping... DROOL!

I will post a few FRAPS videos to give you guy's an idea of how well it runs on my pc. I am pretty sure it will run quite well.

I can't download the demo. I'm not a member of fileplanet, and right now, I cant afford squat, so joining is out (yes, I know $7 isn't much, but when your family is down to 1 income, you don't squander funds). Does anyone know of another place to get it other than fileplanet?

EDIT: Ok, I didnt know that FileWorks for Beyond Unreal had it, so it's in transit....

Monkey you don't have to be a member to download, but you have to wait in line for the free queue, just scroll down below the dedicated servers. I couldn't get it to install on either of my pc's, xp 64 has known problems but on my xp home it just flashed and went back to the desktop... I guess that's it's way of laughing at me on that box.

Same here... what are your specs? Just curious if we have anything in common that could be causing it.

AMD Athlon 64 3700 - Updated drivers last night to the most recent.

EvGa GeForce 7800 (I did buy it shortly after they came out but have the latest drivers.)

1GB RAM

Win XP + updates

Don't think anything else would cause much of a problem.

After install, I found that I needed to restart my system to be able to run the program.

After a bit of play, I lowered my settings and tried again, lowered settings and again.

Plays ok at 1024*768 but I wouldn't call it spectacular at somewhere between 30 and 5 FPS.

I have a dual athalon rig with 3 gigs of 400mhz mem and 2 Evga geforce 6800s.

I think that it might be time to upgrade graphics cards
