Hey all gotta a question (if you didnt guess yet..)

so yeah my character is medic which of course means medic infinite weapons (good stuff)
now i say this because id liek to ask about the legestics fo the following..:
say im running along and a WM dies in front of me in the game (ah yeah when you cant just heal someone fast enough) ..and drops this flak ..piercing ..poison..knockback..doesnt matter.. but before they died and after i was using a medic flak
but then heres wat i realised (..first time was with this knockback flak with a medic flak ) is that i would fire about i dunno 15 shots ... then i switched back to h meidc gun to heal myself with few flak balls..then back to knockback ..shoot some warlords.. but hen i release its back up to its max...
this isnt a one time gliche and i did ti mroe thna once and..well it wasnt my imagination it reloaded to max everytime.. (i still died in that game sigh..)

but yeah getting back on track the point is or question rather is :

Is this legal in the game or is it misusing a gliche to ones personal gain ?

(fyi if the other wep you fire goes down to 0 ..you wont be able to use your medic gun nor the other wep untill you get ammo some how)

i admit ive done it more than once..( but hey ..its was most bcus they died with a piercing..and even if it didnt do that, to dual wield that with any flak would be good)

if its not legal then eh ..i apologize..(and can ya fix it cus still the dual wield to hold a wep for when some ones dies..or just bcus well...good weps are hard to come by for medics..)

so yeah responses ? comments? rules? pineapples?...wait...no ..not that last one....
but yeah so.......
end?

The infinite thing I guess could be considered a glitch. But it's not a big one really so it's not like we're going to release the hounds on you.

Misusing a glitch for gain is against the rules ... depending on the glitch and it's fixability.

For example, in recent memory it was possible to fire a weapon that had "flight time", switch to a different weapon and the shots from the first weapon would gain the qualities of the second (now, they loose all magical properties and just become standard shots). So, it was considered a bad thing to make a "medic deemer" (which was common) but it became bannable to purposefully make "vorpal deemers" or "vorpal grenades" - theoretically, it was possible to fire off a "vorpal flak".

Further, it was an admin's judgement call if you made a "vorpal mine". Some would say "unavoidable", but if by your words, actions, activity, they could deduce that you were going out of your way to do it ... it was troublesome.

Now, the glitch where, after having 3 artifacts, you can sit over an additional artifact and pick it up as it starts to disappear is a bug (and nigh unfixable), but it's not like you won't be risking something if you try it during a titan wave (or any other wave really). So it's mostly ignored, admin wise (I'm guessing anyway). However, it's a bad idea to come on and complain that someone walked by and snatched an artifact you were attempting to "hatch" , and asking that people who steal artifacts in such a way would be ludicrous to suggest (as aggravating as it is, you *are* basically abusing a bug when you "hatch" artifacts like that). This is just an example though ...

Your best bet is to report bugs here ... or, if your worried about it being an easily abusable bug, fire off an email to the admins.

so in response:
i should not do it (as in avoid it. by making new medic wep)..or if do it doesnt rlly matter..o.0....(as in i dont have to change my medic wep cus some happens to drop that freezing 5 flak i jus hardly ever get)..?

Your specific example is "gray", I think. Only an admin could answer for sure.

So far I don't think anyone's been banned for it, and I don't think it's a "big" deal. It's a bug resulting from (I think) the core and UT2004RPG that I don't think can be fixed (easily, anyway) in DruidsRPG.

That explains why I've been having troubles with my combos. All my avril/flak shots become normal

While I haven't looked at the code I *think* that it's just the case that if the weapon shot does not match the weapon you're holding, it's damage is calculated with no magical properties.

It's my understanding that it's difficult code-wise to get a weapon shot to retain the magical properties of a weapon you are not wielding, so in order to remove the bug of a weapon shot inheriting the properties of a different (and possibly substantially better) weapon, code was put in to check.

that may explain why my very last vorp shocks arnt very effective..o.0.....when i actually do get a vorp

so wait that means any last shot you make wont have magical properties...o.0..dang..
oooh and THATS when redeemers dont have their properties unless you go 2ndary fire..aaaaaaaah..
now ti all makes sense....well cept for this chem...but thats not related..(actually it makes sense if i read it...o.0..)

Not sure I understand what you're saying, and it sounds like you're not understanding what I'm saying.

If you shoot a weapon off, and the shot has any flight time, if you switch weapons while the shot is in flight, the shot will loose all magical properties.

Shock rifle primary fire has *no* flight time. It's instantaneous. A vorp shock primary fire will always have a chance to vorp.

If you switch to another weapon before a particular flak shard hits something yes.

OH! I get what you're saying.

Hmm. I never thought about that...you're absolutely right. When you run out of ammo, it automatically switches to your highest priority weapon that's currently usable. That means, whenever you run out of ammo, unless the newly selected weapon is of the same magical type as the old one, your last available shot from a weapon is guaranteed to be a "normal" shot.

In the long run, I think this is for the better. It is something to be aware of, though. Just part of the game.

Do you really think I'm gonna worry or think about what is happening to the magical properties of my weapons when I'm surrounded by monsters, my health is going down rapidly, my shields are depleted, and I'm running out of berserk speed................Think not!!!!!
