Dont think its a bug....medics pets have health regen...so thus engi pets have shield regen..and engis spawn with their shields usually..and pets actually do have shields..however u dont gain xp from healing their (pets)shields..as u dont gain xp for healing pets health as medic....same deal diff class..

The map DM-morphese station(pardon my spelling..) u know the one with he bottomless pit and low Gs outside....redeemer in middle and a flak and rocket opposite sides? yeah that map..

If an engi spawns or shall i say attempts to spawn a lightning(i think any sent too) sent on some of the catwalks it spawns through the floor..into..said bottomless pit meaning u instantly have an out and ur counter appears..o.0

However said catwalks ..such as nx to wepon spawn are obvious solid to both player and weps and monster..so....why does it not spawn on it? an Eg is right nx to the mini/link..and the walk beneath the lighting gun..sents spawning in oblvion isnt rather nice..o.0...

I may be wrong, but aren't medics sort of specialists for pets? One would expect their pets to be better than others'. If you make a pet as a weapons master, the pet does not get regeneration and vampirism, does it?

Yes, I think it does.

Wow, I had no idea! My pets had 9 levels of vampirism! I guess it balancess well because of their inteligence. :]

Yip....medics can choose what they summon...summon more of them..and smarter ones....I usuually toss my summon artifacts to medics with intelligence.(smart warlords are very helpful on ur team)
They get vamp?! I had no idea that WM would also get vamp..o_o...makes sense..but still..had no idea......

Basically, from where the trans is, is goes vertically down until it hits a surface, and spawns the sentinel there. It could be there is a small hole in the surface there which the trace goes straight through. I tried for about 15 mins, but couldn't get it to go wrong on that map. Which weapon spawn were you next to? However, I think there will always be such holes in maps.

I could shorten the range at which it tries to hit the surface. Then in such cases it may report no surface to spawn on, rather than spawning one in a totally unfeasible location. Currently, it goes up 2000 units for ceiling sentinels and down 30000 units for floor sentinels. Since 100 units is about 2 meters ( 6 foot ), it means we are looking up 40 meters (125 foot) and down 600 meters (1800 foot).
These distances are too big, so I think we should change them to both be about 6 meters (20 foot). If you can't get your trans within 20 foot of a surface, then perhaps you shouldn't be an engineer.

And I think I saw Jason at the time it happened. It was on that platform where mini or link is. Below the RL or flak. I noticed that if you place your trans near the edge of a platform, the sentinel spawns under it, although the translocator thingy is siting still on the platform. At least it happened to me in that low gravity map, in space, there is a narrow ring on bottom, hole in the middle, DD above the hole and another narrow ring above with a platform in between. You know, the map everyone falls off... If you try to build a sent near the edge of that platform it spawns below in the deadly hole. Perhaps Jason too built it on the edge...

No it wasnt the edge..Im aware that some trims on the edge of many platforms have holes..but this was more in the center of the platform which is why i was puzzled..happened 2x in a row..eh...maybe I was just having bad luck...

...Ill see if it ever happens again on that amp it mite just have been that one partiucalr platform..o.0..eh who knows...

Oh And I agree on the decrease distance for floor sents..not so much for ceiling sents...cus Gravity makes ur trans fall so u have to be fast....rlly fast..but eh It IS still possible..

...so i suppose its all rational...

had a weird one the other night just remembered it

on summit I had 3 monsters runnin around and went to use my destroy all monsters artifact and killed Wonko in the process

now other players might want to destroy engineers to but I'm sure they don't appreciate it

so I want to know if I can summon more engineers than just him and were my xp is

Though it does explain few times when i did spontaneously die from a player...and the said player was on the opposite side of the map..>_>....

OK, this one happened today in urbanbay: I was standing next to Annika (the bot), when a new player joined, so she had an aneurysm. As she died/dissapeared she left ultima behind. It killed me. It was on a late wave (so no chance on bunny), I saw the green thingy explode and it said I was pulverized (but not by who). I did step a couple of steps back from it, but did not bother too much, I was sure I am fine. Perhaps ultima of someone who left is not considered friendly fire anymore?

So Thats why you got pulverized.....I thought the bot suicide 'deemred......
