Thanks for showing me the game Hobo. It looked pretty cool. I like the Subaru you were driving. Like I said, they have that game for the PS3, maybe sometime, I could rent it or something and see how it looks.

I forgot to post about this a while back, oh well.
Mario Kart 64 for the Wii is awesome. It's actually better than the original version in GP. The system never bottlenecks, game play is always smooth. I never got a chance to try playing with more than two people, so not sure how the system fairs with four humans. I wouldn't expect it to be all that bad. The controls on the gamecube controller are identical to Double Dash's layout, so nothing new there. Don't have a classic controller to try it out.
Definitely worth the $10 download.

Just got a copy of Mario Party 8. Played a little the other day and will post a more in-depth review once I get to play around some more. It's weird transitioning from traditional controllers to remotes. I'm so used to simply tapping A to roll the dice, but in the newest version you swing the remote up.

I kinda left my Wii on the shelf up until the other day when I played a little with friends. Mario Party 8 is excellent. It's definitely not your typical copy-and-paste star hunt that has plagued so many of the other MP games (I have 4 and 6 for gamecube... not that great when compared to 1/2/3 on N64). Each map has a different twist to the game. One map called Tycoon town is a little like monopoly. The object of the board is to have the largest investment (coins) in hotels on the map. If you own the largest investment in any hotel, you get the stars from that hotel.
Hudson did a great job of capitalizing on all the features the wiimote has to offer. The amount of motion sensing involved in minigames wasn't quite what I was expecting, but I suppose it's for good reason. You would get really tired of the game if you had to constantly flail your arms around, so some minigames are classic button crunching. I also really like the fact that they mixed up the character selection. You can play as obscure Mario characters like Dry Bones (the skeleton koopa) and Hammer Bro.
On the downside, the game still cheats at times. I lost three times in a row to Yoshi (single player)... every time I'm about to win, the computer owns me at every minigame. The voice overs are still a tad annoying, but livable. It's probably better than having the characters speak the game text word for word. Overall the game is good looking, polished, and fun to play. 8.5/10

Some of those games for the Wii look pretty nice. I haven't played my PS3 in months. Just haven't had the time. I only have one PS3 game anyway. There is one that I saw that looks pretty cool.

It is the 'Force Unleashed' game. It doesn't look too bad. I'm hesitant to get an interest on any game that is based on a movie, however.

Four words: Star Fox 64!
Just as good as the original version. I personally like the 1 player mission better than multiplayer. The only negative I can think of, other than the odd 64 to gamecube controller conversion, is the lag. Swarms of ships cause the game to crawl. Still worth the download. Oh, and it's also pretty tough to get used to the higher analog stick sensitivity. I spent about 30 to 45 minutes on the alternative venom mission against star wolf because it was so hard to get the aim right. Them wolves gots moveses!

Echo's post reminded me about Mario Strikers for the Wii. I don't own a Wii, but i've played this game multiple times with friends and I love it. I owned the older version for the gamecube, but this one is excellent. It is a soccer game, but it's done like an arcade game. It's easy to pick up and a blast to play with friends. The single player is very dull, but if you want a good sports multi player game, definitely give this one a try!

I rented Wario Ware: Smooth Moves earlier today. Me and a friend spent basically the whole day playing this game. It's highly addictive. The point of the game is to accomplish a series of random tasks within a small period of time. This game will not disappoint the twitchers out there. It's a lot of fun to play with other people... you look like a fool while posing and waving your arms around. The only real fault I see is multiplayer mode. You can play with up to 12 people, which is great, but you have to share one remote between everyone. Smooth Moves looks incredibly stupid, and it is to a degree, but it's so much fun you'll forget you're trying to dance like a monkey in front of others. 9/10
