The Denver metro area has been shut down since noon 12/20/06 due to heavy snowfall. I live in Golden, which is in the foothills west of the metro area and the altitude is approximately 6,000 feet above sea level. Here's a picture of my F150 4X4. Please understand that the light bar on the brush guard is exactly 36" off the ground. We have already shoveled 12"-14" off the sidewalk before giving up!!!!!!!!!!!!

True, we will have a white Christmas for the first time in a decade, and we have another storm coming in from the west which should hit Saturday nite. That one is supposed to leave only 1 to 2 inches, tho. And people tease me about having 2 four wheel drive vehicles.............This is why!!!!!!!

However, both my wife and I are Red Cross volunteers and in this type of situation, we run mercy errands for the Red Cross. Donna and I have already been on a couple of trips for the Red Cross, picking up medications for stranded travelers and delivering them.

I live just outside of Minneapolis, and up until today we were on our way to shattering our record for the least amount of snow we've ever had through this date. The forecast just over a day ago was for a dry, brown Christmas..............................and then........................











I just took these pics from my driveway:






















It's supposed to snow right through to Saturday. It puts a smile on my face to have a white Christmas.
