For simplicity, I say we should stick with Vipers Den. DC should be our backup in case we run into problems.

I agree. Even though we could get a couple extra people in vipers den it would likely occur after all the people involved in our little match are already in. They have a map voting thing like DC with a nice collection of maps. Considering we have 16 people (I think) we should vote for a pretty large map. It won't be as fun if 16 people are just randomly spamming in a map like 1 on 1 Squader.

Viper or DC does not make a differance to me... I am set up with Brock and a new (DC) Sparky*TDM*.

I was using the raptor skin without a problem on viper...... I guess I will just look for the crowd...

Viper is fine, but how do we administer the site if "others" happen to show up?
Will our Ref advise the newcommer? And what if he gets a kill in or so for a side before he leaves, if he leaves.

DC may be the only way we have security, I'm thinking, unless we set up the server as a private one temperarily. I dont know.

Would a 4Mb connection be adiquit to host a 8 on 8 or 10 on 10 match? If so, I could host it...

In case I happen to be aware enough this evening to actually participate, how would we be setting up teams? DC's settings (unless Dru changes them for us) are for RPG TDM and server assigned teams. Dunno about viper - haven't been there.

I'm not a firm participant right now - yesterday I could barely keep my eyes open (long day at work) and I have a particular aversion to PvP games ...

Ok, FYI for the TDM crew....

I just set up a TDM with 19 other bots (10 on 10) here at work, and with a team score limit of 150 points to win....each map took 10 minutes to get that score. I am playing against Masterful Bots, but this will give everyone an idea of how long a match will last. Especially if the score is set to 60 (as last mentioned). Not long at all.

Yeah, that is the major problem I foresee with Viper's, the 60 frag limit. We were doing 2 on 2 and 3 on 3 and we were reaching that limit within I'd say 15-20 mins, with 16 people that would take less than 10 mins likely.

If you could set up a server that could handle 16 players Flak, that would be awesome.

Without testing it first with that many people, I dont know what kind of lag would happen. Nothing at my end (advantage) but I dont want it to happen to anyone else. But with someone with control, we can make the server as we need it. Like I said, I got a 4Mb connection, which is wonderful, but I dont know if its adiquit for hosting. I would have to do a practice run. And this late in the game, I dont know if there is time to test it.
