Abuse on Map voting

I was on the other day when that happened and yes I did not like the screen to pop up like that!

now on the map vote I happen to like to go thru the list and pick the lowest numbered of use/played maps and when there's only a few ppl on and they can't decide which map the server usually picks mine

even sometimes when a map has 2 votes and mine only 1..hehe think the server likes me for picking them maps!

and the only time I can see voting a map change in the beginning or middle of the map is when it turns out to be a REALLY BIG map with just a few ppl and we discuss it and agree to vote for a change or that the bots are the only ones left alive..but I have seen the bots pull the hat out and win a wave.

there are certain maps I don't like but I still play them to my best and others like them maps so I map make a short comment about the map or not but I play the map! and thats what all should do and not be childish and whine about the map and want to change it.

different maps takes different styles of play and to be good and I mean really good you must be able to play any and all maps with the same skill you play on maps that you like!

just look at Elite! there are a few maps he gets his butt whacked in I'll admit a very few but I have seen it happen! and he does his best and doesn't complain about ! he may make a comment but not much of one

Well road has a point... when one starts to vote others usually follow. What initiates the mid-map voting is not if the players agree on a certain map (which has been a misinterpretation by a few) but the number of players who place their vote regardless of the map. For example if there are 10 people playing it takes 5 votes to initiate the mid-map voting, those 5 people could each vote for a different map meaning there would be 5 choices each having 1 vote toward the maps. If it stays that way for the 30 sec time limit, the server will automatically choose which one to play next. So you see, the majority DOES NOT ALWAYS choose the map, but the majority ALWAYS initiates the mid-map voting.

but also if someone enjoys the map they are on, they will not vote for a new map. if they dont like the map, then they will vote. therefor its still the majority not liking the map and putting up the vote. why should the majority endure a map that is disliked for the sake of the minority

Everyone has an opinion about every map. Like myself, I hate "Breakfast" It's hard to maneuver with all the table clutter and falling off always sux. "Sulfur" and "Maga Woot" are sure deaths as they are too restraining...and falling of sux. But others like them...so we play and suffer. For me, at the moment, if I get to play an entire map without rebooting, I'm happy. No matter how many times I die.

But as for voting in mid game... I guess I'm on the fence. Perhaps a show of hands during game play prior to a vote so the people against can have a say before they are forced to change maps.
