Merry Christmas

We're now up to 8-9 inches in the last 18 hours.

ya we got hit with a white out last night! was crazy!! we woke up to another 4in on top of the 3in we had before. Made things wicked slick! Made me REALLY want to go boarding again...i have a pic of the snow up in the mountains here, i'll have to post it!

so this was right off the lift. in a very well packed area. the rest was seriously about 2 feet of snow at LEAST of pure untouched powder baby!

I think the Denver metro area has gotten somewhere around 20" of snow since December 1.

Pyro and I are not exactly in the tropics. Pyro, Dru, Shan, and other players are in the Salt Lake City area. Honey and I are in the Greater Denver metro area. Both areas are within an hour or less of a major ski resort.

Both areas can get up to 6 feet of snow in a month and at times, 4 feet at one time. There's a reason that both areas can boast of world class ski resorts. Right now, into the 5th week (of a 5 month season) of ski season, there is about 6 feet of snow on the ski runs. By mid-season, there will be about 10 feet or more on the ski runs.

Will bear that in mind nx time I jest?....

Friend of mine was telling me about that....
He was in pain at the time as a result...Apparently falling into snow at high speeds hurts (I guess)....then again..his fault for going on an advanced hill on his first day I suppose..

without lessons yes. my first time out i tried to do it on my own and that how i have dislocated knee caps. but im back at it again and i love it! i take my lessons which are SO much better! and it can hurt if you fall wrong. and if you fall right! lol that day wouldnt have been bad since there was so much snow but i took 2 lessons in 1 day and i could barely stand to go down that last run. but i tell you what the next day i couldnt even move my neck. i had had a great first lesson and then the 2nd went horrible. my body was worn out and i had no time to rest it between the 2 lessons. so it wasnt smart but it was fun! but yes, you get REALLY sore when you learn.

I don't go up to the mountains very often, so snowboarding didn't go over so well with me. By the end of the day I managed to go down the bunny slope without falling, but that was about it! Skiing on the other hand was much more enjoyable.

to each there own! i just got tierd of going down for 5 lessons doing the snow plow on ski's and getting them crossed...
