I assume you're a USG player too?

Near as I know, DC has never had this problem (specifically: Loosing other skills such as Quickfoot or Jump after Ghost). Perhaps there are additional mods in use on USG other than those we use on DC? It's already confirmed that you have a significantly different wave setup ..

Unless a current DC player chimes in with "I'm a DC player and I've seen this behavior with the current version in use on DC" I'm going to fall back on "Wait until the next version is released, or troubleshoot it on your own."

I went on the DC server yesterday.

I noticed that the rpg version you run automatically has ghost on although the info on ghost is slightly confusing as if you ghost you get 100 health but if you buy ghost level 1 you come back with 1 health which is clearly worse off and buying 2 levels in one is 80 points 12 levels + eveything else you need to be able to buy it.

I wasn't able to test it properly as the requirements for on our server we start at level 50 with about 700 points initially to spend and the setup is very different as maximum player on excessive invasion is about 1300 in probably 300-400hours of playing I'd expect.

As my player on USG I have purchased every thing and maxed it which is very rarely done as most players tend to go for db and dr or health. I noticed this is very unlikely on DC as you'd have to spend approximately 500 levels at 7 points per level to do this which clearly isn't feasible.

I wonder if any of you players on th DC server have maxed speed and ghost it would be interesting if they have any probalem as this would clarify if its the version of druids200 or on all.

From my tests its for all players but most on USG don't notice it.

PS street imagine what the difference would be if it didn't happen!!!! those extra levels frags possibe game completed at wave 25 by avoiding redemeers or ducalords with over 1500 health of at 5000dr on VINV. Try addren master maxing +1 quickfoot wpn and using double magik modifier (+12) then speed with all agility maxed is serious speed

You ran into something you've missed ...

We have a sort of "newbie assistance" in some of the newer versions of DruidsRPG (it's probably not out in the wild yet). Between levels 5 (where we start) and 40, you get varying levels of some skills, based on your Class. So at 41, all that "Free Ghost" and "Free Regen" (and whatever else you got) goes away.

We actually have a few folks who have hit 350/400 who have all the skills you're talking about. None of them have reported skill loss.

This doesn't mean it doesn't happen though. I will see if I can spectate one of these players just for confirmation. I have found some players notice bugs and never say anything until I or someone else mentions it which is annoying.

I hope this is the case and an update resolved this bug without it being noticed.

I recollect that we had this loss of agaility problem (on VINV) with vehicle deaths on USG however we put an auto ejection to resolve this.

I didn't know about the auto ghost to level 40, that a nice mod, although this didn't seem to be clear in the info.

Oh and btw - I tried to sign up for the forums on your server to reply to someone about "mucking with Dru's code" ... but I haven't gotten my account approved yet.

The short form of the response is:

"Dru has said many a time that he doesn't object to getting patches."

So if someone plays with Druid's code, finds an actual bug, and then comes up with a fix, the best thing to do (I think) would be to upload a copy of the new .uc as an attachment to a message here on the forums. One of the developers will (eventually) pull it down, compare it to the existing Ghost (as Ghost has gotten it's fair share of reworking lately), and merge the fix.

Its usually fairly quick to active an account USG.

I had a quick search for this post "mucking with Dru's code" but can't seem to find it, I don't recall it recently, we get a lot of requests for things to be done however it depends on the amount of work involved, who want s it and the webmaster's response.

We tend to only use the forum for suggestions and propositions available to all members (or polls), as you know a lot has to be done in the background usually.

It was your Denail and Deaths thread, which is a bit misleading by title, as:

  • We've already cleared up that Denial is working exactly like it's supposed to
  • The problem in discussion here and there is now Ghost and Skill Loss

    Anyways, someone has already stated in the thread that folks should go ahead and debug it (and then submit the patch here on the DC forums), if they so desire, as we will endeavor to incorporate patches on old versions of our code into new versions, if we haven't fixed the issue already.

    Next time it occurs on your server if you could check your server's error log it might shed some light on the matter, particularly whether or not the bug is related to another mod.

    Unfortunatly I am not the webaster and can't check the logs.

    I also posted this under the USG website however I was slightly missleading with the initial problemas I covered two issues and should have kept these sepeate.

    I belive this is the thread you were going to reply to, =USG=Ducatisto and Das seem to do a lot of miracle work for us, I don't tend to get involved in scripting, although I do have an interest here.

    I personally think it might be best for everyone to wait for 211 to come out as it looks like its not too far from now, rather than anyone working on this bug to reoslve it then find the next version just down the line doesn't have it.

    just a quick thought... the server runs the 'regeneration' and 'quad jump' mutators....

    could the quad jump be some sort of problem as it links with one of the skills that we are losing (power jump)

    just a though...

    i forward the "wait untill the next version" approach same reason as Viper said

    I have had maxed speed and ghost before version 2.00 was released.

    I have never experienced the symptoms you describe.

    Don't know if this helps but I thought I'd throw this in.
