Hmm perhaps...anyone know why I got the 46 bonus thou(well maybe not 46..I was saving up for shield healing b4..so Ive got no idea what the real bonus is..just alot more than it was when i last was on enginner.)

Also aaaaageess ago I read about a defensive flying sent?...or si that idea shot down due to bugginess?

Yes. You have Loaded Engineer 13. You are level 46. The requirement for a Loaded Engineer is 6 times the level, so you should only have up to LE7. So when you join, you only got charged for up to LE7, so you get the points back for LE8 to LE13. Each time you get to a level multiple of 6 you will get a negative as it charges you for the next level of LE.

The plan was to use the same shooting down technique as the Defense Sentinel, but since it can only nerf missiles and not destroy them I am not sure it is worth implementing.

Hmm ok...Thats what i thought(about the stats) well I guess ill be neg for a few lvlv.s...(seeing Im not spending any rlly...cept for the shield healing)

I tested the ability's of the defense sentinel through 4 maps this morning. It works pretty well before it gets overwhelmed. Instead of increasing its speed, perhaps a slightly larger area that is covered?

You have to be pretty close to and mostly behind (from the shooters perspective) the defense sentinel to get a decent benefit.

I managed to actually keep one alive or should I say that it kept me alive through wave 14. Between a berserk, double damage and someone linking me I was killing Titans quicker than I can ever remember. I might have made some real experience but the server was pretty busy and I was competing with some high level or skilled players.

At any rate, the defense sentinel works, and is worthwhile. I find it pretty easy to differentiate which missiles have been neutralized, except when someone is using a rod in the same area and there is a lightning sentinel active nearby, is there any way to make the lightning that strikes the incoming missiles a different color?

I know that is a lot, if you want, later I will make seperate posts for the suggestions so that others can find them easier and comment. Just let me know.

Range is currently 400 - which is just over 3 blocks long. So the range could be increased.

Yes, I can do. I just didn't want to put the effort in if it wasn't worth it.

Koolness..Yeah I noticed that it helpd..but only if i was behind it...so if there was a horizontal beambeam in front of me, summon one there ..csu that way it didnt get hit and It help..aside form that I ha dot be too close ..so it died quickly...:/..(seeing the general fire was over whelming in its direction and cant dodge..)

O coolnes, the defense sent range and speed has been increased. They can be pretty usefull in titan waves this way! And a third sent at 130... Craaaazzzzzy. O and the shield blast adrenaline cost down... I got to get me that now!

Idea: For higher lvl engs: perhaps a remotely controled bomb. Plant a trans, wait for the titans gathering ("Hey, glassy titan friend, what is this on the floor?" "I have no idea you plain titan." -both scratch heads), press U and kabooom. The eng equivalent of deemer. Once a wave only. Perhaps costs a silly amount of adren too.

the way it sounds it should cost..at the least...like 150 adren if not 250..(remember its for a HIGH lvl ..rlly high)
Also they are METAL titans ..not glass.....
And wouldnt a simipler mechanism ..for thsi ' bomb' idea be to use 2 artifacts?...one dropper ..one detonator..so u know..ppl dont lagg and pres sit 2x and blow themselves up!...
(and by HIGH lvl i mean thsi can be the last skill and engineers can buy then.....seeing it seems pretty darn powerful..so like at 300..?....250?..yeah...im thinking waaaaay too far ahead....) Though youd have to find a mesh for it..(seeing the actually bomb form bombing run is the electromagnet..)

The block structures sound kool too...I need to try and get on sometime this week..(school is ..how do you say...annoying..-_-** )

Oh yeah meaning to ask this for bit..is their an alias for shield blast?if so..is it shieldingblast or shieldblast?..cus i have shieldingblast and nothing happens in game..(then again mite have been the one time bugg that occurs..lil how my healing blast bind spontaneously goes to pupaae..but eventually works again)

Why would it be too powerfull? As a WM I had Deemer AND Ion Painter at level, say, 60. No adren required for those either. Surely the deployment via trans has certain bonuses, but if the explosion would be similar in power than deemer but had maybe half the range I think it would be neat. And I think it would go well with engineer character (you know, dynamite-engineer, kinda goes well together).

For my WM it did not make a huge difference having a deemer and painter (at first it meant more suicides, mostly), i think with engs it would be similar.

And no, they are not metal titans. I had an electromagnet, I checked.

The reduced cost for Shield Blast and the block structures are not yet active on DC. I have put them in cvs, which is the version control system. They will be included in the next build. The note in the developer forum is to keep Druid and Shantara informed of what changes are in the next build.

And the alias for shield blast is "SelectShieldBlast"

Well wonko what is my reason for thinking it should be high lvl?...Cus the engineers were currently being a lil nerfed for the balance issues...itd be sorta stupid to make them stronger again by more htan they were oringally....
ALSO....a WM has currently an advantage to have a redeemr on maps where it does nto spawn....so in fact ahvigna super above the supers......this would be the same for engineers who are amde to be support class...ok..maybe i said too high...Mayve a lvl of um...150?160170?.....(not below 100)...
Not to mention that a tactic could be on deemer maps to detonate your bomb and then follow it up with a redemeer shot to seal the deal so to speak

ALSO ..seeing this is only a figmentary suggestion..analogous to the padlin shield instead of blocks idea (though noone has complained in recent times..interesting..)...This " bomb" should be able to blow up and destory his own sents/vechlies ..(if open that is).....

And also ..yeah i know its not in build yet...I jsut have very lmited time playing so ive onyl got 2x to try out test the def sent idea....
I want more game time.......
Anyways....

Ps wonko the electromagnet works on the basis of walls and roofs...not actualy metal......the metal titans actauly have the most HP of the monster i belive....so I dont think the name glass suits them too well.

Had some more time to play with the defense sent. not sure whether it was upgraded yet. Worked very well on Lava Skarjii. usually they send my eng to a red kicking death on the floor post haste, I found that if I kept the defense sent between us I could count on it to eliminate their spoooo.

I found it effective but not overpowering v.s. titans, they tend not to target it because it does not harm them so the trick is placing it correctly and standing in a position that a rock thrown to hit you, does not hit the sent by accident.

Through play and testing the most effective turret, particularly at earlier waves is the minigun turret. the others shots take longer to arrive on target, I am not talking about score here, just exp. thats the bench mark that I am using to determine effectiveness. More effective yet, is to find another player and link with them. I have had a few maps where my score was pretty pitiful running both a defense sent and linking another player, but the exp was around 80 to 100 average per wave.

I got some more play time with the def sent too...Gotta say it helps alot fi you place it right..and IN FRONT of where you and preferably ur enemy are...and somewhere where noone will stand..(that way titans dont throw rocks..)

One helped me on a titan wave be the last on in..(they got the few rocks b4 they could make ti through the precarious angling..)...
And in pairs they work very well..(the update i perceive isnt out yet?.)..so that was kool..

Havtn seen how helpfull they are to me as a medic....but thats cus not many player summon them ...cus either they cant...dont know of its effectiveness...or cus well...they just arnt on when i am....

Ps Starwalt classic doesnt let you toss adren it would seem..health yes..adren..no..o.0.

Best tactic I have found yet.

Find a healer who likes the link and will follow you around for the whole map, linking and healing you!

Question: how is linking damage calculated?

Is it all if the damage an initial person would do + a bonus added to the head of a chains damage? or is it just the base persons damage, that is to say, do all of the first persons modifiers go into the calculation when it multiplied for the link modifier or is the bonus damage just added on to the initial persons damage?

Id also like to know..like do all the DB get accounted?..or only the lead?..cus if so place ur WM at the lead ..
anyways long spot warning..you have been warned

My other tactic sental wise is this-->

Lightning sentals:
Spawn these on the first 5 waves....ESPECIALLY on flat maps with a few high points...(espically if its lots of action there..)..remember to come by and top it off every now and then
These are also very good in numbers on the skaarj wave (10) and most of the waves leading up to then..exception 6
These generally will net you more xp than kills in my opinion seeing its little damage ..lots of targets...so the kills generally get finished off by someone
Did I mention how good these are in numbers?..especially if you can space them just right so the baddies get confused..
Waves 10 and up it pointless to try and spawn them.....they just get swamped to baddly and damged so fast..with no lil shell to hid behind (prolonged life possible if place behind blocks..)
-°Interesting thing to try:
DD+a Rod + full adren+ ur lightning sents and lots of baddies...
Let ur sent start it off...then turn on the rod (with DD) and fill them baddies full of green...ur knocking off good health with just ur rod...+ DD then youve got ur sent distracting AND hurting them..so then knocking them over with link is no prob...if youve got good timing and all youve got is 30 secs of fun...then youll run out fo adren cus of no baddies left for u/ well...run out of adren....after than ..its up to u.....

Normal sents:
Well these can be place on just about any wave....they can even last a short..very short period of time on titian waves.
Main corridors or a cross road between 3 or more paths... if its the point where most action takes place..still very good..place on ledges to cover more ground and so it cans see down to or more doors pretty easily...
These can survive most waves...They net more kills than xp cus they target one at a time and their range with just one at time isnt great..BUT here damage is more...and kills faster than the lighting sents your placement of these shouldt be thought out well cus theyve got a bigger time tag on them...so repositioning can be problematic
Warlord wave these can survive..can but unlike the other waves need much more topping up..
These if you build a base you want near the fore front.. they can take beating and take down the baddies once they dont get swamped to badly but DONT ferget to top them off..they arnt invincible

Gotta queen?(insert warlord/red skaarj/ even sometimes titans on non titan waves) Let the sent grab its attention ("hey whats that machine shoot me ! I didnt do nothing!") then run over behind it and fill it full of lead--erm.. I mean plasma......
The sent distracts..you shoot...you kill come out unsaved ..but with titans..make sure you take it down fast...or youll loose ur buddy...and may have one ticked titan afterwards

Defensive sent:
Welll what can be said of our small yet passive comrade? For all it lacks in it own defenses it makes up for on titan waves..skaarj waves..hey maybe warlord waves if there are 3 of them( only ever seen 2 in close proxmity to each other)
So wait?...low defense for itself..but..lets summon it on titan waves..o.0...uuuh...
Yip...BUT summon it similar but not similar to the lightning sent..confused?..
Place it highish up..AWAY from you...and not where players would want to run/stand in a fire fight...but in a corner somewhere near but far from the fight..confused?..Well so am i..
I havnt found the ideal spot as of yet..but heres the case...--> Sent shoot projectiles down right?...but they dont make the enemies wary so they dotn attack them...however if someone stand nx to them..the rock or w/e will still wipe it out if it hits it ..so It needs to be away enough so it wont get hit by the damge meant for u..but close enough to still shoot down ur projectiles.....also not to far so if it does get a hit u can top it up a lil..
Also place it in FRONT of you a lil..so they can be neutralizing the hit b4 they hit u..especially a lil bit in front of a base
As far as when too summon these lil guys..come the near the end of wave 5..kill ur sent and summon then if your goin to(for 6) ..also wave 11(for 12 and till 14 even maybe till games end at this point this one is you have to try it it out and get your feel for it)
Xp or kill?..0 respectively....BUT you will keep ur comrades and your self alive lil longer ..even if ur in a base this sent i wll still snag some of the shots that seem to search u out in a crowd
Speed effectivness?.cant say yet..its gonna be updated i believe..

Well..hmm.....uuh..
Best one I can think off is summon it for waves 6/14 (not on....if you do that the titn will kill u and ur sent in one hit youve gotta top it up too you know..)
And then have that adren youve saved up for berzerk...pick a DD and go to work!..dodge ur heart out and hope ur sent takes out some of the ones out ur FOV..
And just have fun shoot them titans full of plasma.....

More importantly HAVE FUN...its game...if you get to consumed with ur sents youll hardly get to kill anything yourself..which is half the fun of the game....
