penetrating seems to work on monsters. Please don't consider removing it. If you are playing and I am on, you get one, let me know if you don't want it. Have you ever gotten more than one headshot from one pull of the trigger?

I do not find any of the magic types useless.

especially at low level I have found the lucky weapons to be great. even at higher levels I switch to a lucky between rounds to stock up on shields and share them around.

my opinion, if you are going to upgrade weapon abilities so that they do more, tie it to a class skill in some way. that way you can more easily balance the ability increase with the cost.

So, having a quick scan through the feedback, the basic preference is not to change anything. To roughly summarise:

  • Penetrating - works in invasion, so keep
  • Reflection - very useful as it is, adding retaliation may make too powerful
  • Sturdy - useful as is. If it is currently useful and people want, then adding countershove would probably make it too powerful.
  • Knockback people like, so again combining it with another type would perhaps make it too powerful. And combining with force would limit it to projectile type weapons - perhaps not a positive step.
  • Luck - again people find useful, even for the basic non-stacking 50 shield. So, since Engineers are not yet out, lets not do the shield change either until we see how engineers get on, and see if it is still required then.

    So, no change.
    Thanks for the responses. It is good to get feedback from a range of people, and it is good that people are thinking about the balance rather than just wanting more more more

    cus then you stay still while the rock they throw bounces up and down on you..:/....
    thou i cant recollect if it reduces your bouncing-off-tall-places-to-one's-demise-due-to-angry-titan-hitting-ground

    It's official, I just got in for a few minutes and happened to spawn with a penetrating shock. I was in a hallway and had a couple warlords lined up. I could see both health bars going down when I shot them. The one behind didn't seem to go down quite as much but it was causing damage to both of them.

    sweet...
    penetratings only apply to beamm weps right..(as in you dont get penetrating rockets...but you do ge them of ligniting guns, shocks, snipers..etc..)

    Assuming I read the code correctly, penetrating applies to all "instant-fire" weapons.

    Link projectiles require time to reach their destination, so no, they are not instant-fire weapons.
