Free Copy of Vista Business and Office 2007

Being a software engineer major at RIT we get Vista for free... so a few of my friends already have it running. It's nice, but since it's early it's a bit flakey on how well it works with certain software.

What?! grrr.
Cal Poly doesn't give anything to CS students! Instead they do stupid things like install web blockers on all the CS lab computers when NO other department in the entire university does that. Not even the public access computers

ouch... I actually wrote the above from my CS lab while in class... oops >

... but I'm sure it will be better once some programs make their software compatible. But here's something cool, Microsoft added a new color window... so now if you mess up you either get the blue loop of death or a RED screen meaning you REALLY messed up lol.... I've seen both already hehe

Well apparently Microsoft is holding a free C# workshop on campus tomorrow. As an incentive to participate all attendees receive a copy of Vista Business Edition. I have my doubts whether Virtual PC will be able to run a Vista image, but what the hey, I'll give it a try.

So I just downloaded the Vista upgrade wizard so see what it'd say. Get this:

Super. I'm feeling really good about this.

After reading about the various problems and other things (benchmark tests, for one), I will probably not upgrade to Vista until forced to. Xbox 360 premium, here I come.................Darn, I want to play Halo 2 sooooooo bad.

Does anyone want my copy of the RC1?
