Well here we go. I found the server rules for the 9th CMD. Some of the rules I edited to better suit the Team Deathmatch. So here goes nothing.

Spawn Killing: (bootable offense)

No spawn killing. End of story

* What is a Spawn Kill:
Easy enough to understand, right. When a player is spawning or just newly spawned they are not to be engaged. When a spawning player draws a weapon or moves out of spawn, they become fair game.

Back Killing: (bootable offense)

No back killing. It shows a person to have little to no honor.

*This is a tough rule to address. Back kills come in many forms and is usually the admins call on whether a back kill was committed. Back kills come in many forms and is usually the admins call on whether a back kill was committed.

*What is back killing:
Basic back kill - Killing a player who was nice enough to let you spawn. So if a player passes you as you spawn LEAVE THEM ALONE. Let them go.
Pounce/Shoot form Spawn Point

Killing another player right out of spawn, this would mean pouncing or shooting from your spawn point.

Face to Face Back kill

Killing a player who has spawned in front of you and has made an obvious effort to move away for you and/or any fighting.

Spawn Camping / Camping: (bootable offense)
*What is Spawn camping:
Staying in one area waiting for players to spawn, then killing then as they spawn into the game or right after they draw a weapon.

*What is Camping:
Staying in one area for long periods of time or waiting for kills. We understand that a sniper is meant to sit in a tower or crouch in a corner, but during game play you are guaranteed more kills if you move through the map. Feel free to stop and take a few shots, but then move along.

Exploits:
Exploits are glitches within the game. While many exploits are seen to be cheats/hacks, simply stated they are not.

9thCMD Allows the Following Exploits in AVP2

Stagger – This is done by rapidly pressing the primary fire button which allows the pulse rifle or mini gun to shoot controlled bursts. Some say it conserves ammo but makes aiming more difficult.

Crouch – This takes away the head shot factor, or some think it does.

Bunny hop – Done by Runners and Preds. This is done by quickly pressing the jump button in rapid succession. This makes a runner much more difficult to hit with any weapon with the exception of a well placed pred bomb. It also makes Preds move much quicker across a map.

Double tap – This is done by zooming in and firing then zooming out and firing again. It allows the sniper to fire to rapid shots in quick succession. Excellent tool to utilize against bigger opponents such as Praetorians and Queens.

Abusive Language / Cursing / Chat spamming: (bootable offense)

Playing can cause frustration and fits of anger. Feel free to express that humility but once your venting becomes abusive or just plain stupid we will take action. Cursing just to curse is not accepted.

Abusive language is unacceptable, period end of story. No one has the right to bad mouth another player at anytime.

Do, not at any time, spam the chat window.

Weapon Hogging: (bootable offense)

(Given the circumstances of combos like Flak Monkey, Combo Master, and Headmaster this rule is more or less enforced. Depending upon the admins. Most player classes in AVP 2 are assigned with a specific set of weapons. But since this is not the same case with Unreal Tournament 2004, I will add this in anyway.

This is another tough rule to enforce for an admin. While we allow every weapon to be used in game, we would appreciate if all weapons per character were used.

* Weapon rules:
Exosuit – This weapon can be used 3 times per player per map.

Admin over rules and can remove the Exosuit when they feel it is disrupting game play or other players in game complain about it.

Grenade Launcher –Any player using the grenade launcher will be held to stricter observation by the admin. Do not nade spawn points. Do not randomly launch grenades into hallways or around corners. Fire only if an enemy is in sight or has been sighted, this includes seeing movement on the motion tracker.
(Snipers would use the grenade launcher to lay a very large amount of spider mines that would stand up and kill any enemy within the proximity of the mines. The problem, it would be in an a specific area that would be spammed to the extreme.)

Predator Pistol – Pred pistol should be used in conjunction with all other Predator weapons. Please do not just use the Pred Pistol alone or all the time, predators have an excellent arsenal of weapons, learn to use them all. (Was able to be spammed with the secondary burst fire.)

Oh one las thing, all the males should pick a male skin from the original roster of Unreal Tournament 2004. Using a uniform skin is a good idea but having the extra challenge of knowing how to identify friend and foe and making a decision within that split second adds to the excitement of the game. (Yeah I'm a twitch gamer, but that extra factor will make you the better player overall in the long run. Rather than shooting at anything that moves.)
