Asteroid 2012LZ1 Passes By Earth

A super-sized asteroid - named 2012 LZ1 - will whiz by our planet tonight [July 14th, 2012]. There is no cause for concern of a deep impact or even a glancing blow, however. The space rock will pass 14 lunar distances or 3.35 million miles away.
The closest pass to Earth will occur around 8:00 p.m. EDT says Space.com. The website Slooh.com will stream the flyby.

Stepdad told me that there was an asteroid supposed to pass by earth one night, so I searched what was up. I was told too late so I didn't get to see it.
Did anyone see it?

the writer must be trapped in the future!!! j/k looked it up, apparently that article u read had a mistake on the date saying july instead of june. so yes it already passed by. i'm sure you can see something about it on slooh.com as the article said.
