I know But I'll take anything I can get. I don't know how many time's I have watched the LOTR trilogy. Many times...I make sure I do at least once a year (drives me wife nuts > ) Just looking at how thick the book is, ya know it's gunna be a 2 parter. But that's ok. Gives me another movie to look forward to the next year.

I just hope they don't take too many liberties with the story - for example, in the book there were no elven archers in the battle of Helms Deep.

Well, here it is 5-5....the official day of Mayo....so make a good sammich!

No more trailers, teasers or anything on this movie. I mean, we have a date to took forward too. Something bothers me though.....

In The Fellowship of the Ring....Gandolf said that Bilbo hasn't aged a day....yet the charictor in The Hobbit is noticeably younger. I dont know when the last time Gandolf met with Bilbo since the Hobbit....just an observation.

well you must remember he did not age when he had the ring but then aged alot without the ring.
I may be getting old and falling apart but I can sure can raise Hell and have fun doing it!

That is true, but that's at the end of the series. His comment was in their first meeting before Bilbo's birthday party. I don't know, maybe I'm being too critical...but I think some directors forget what was done/said in their previous movie and make contradictions in the following movie....like the big goof made between Back to the Future and the 2nd one. They blew the entire theory of time travel out of the water they laid down in the first movie by the premiss of the second.
