Unlocking subclasses in DruidsRPG.

HI,

After a long moment trying to do it for fun and testing, i never managed to get it work, do someone have a solution please ?

My problem is :

* Server works well, UT2004RPG (2.2) and DruidsRPG (226, from Cache Extr) works well.

* I Have the Subclass appearing when i want to buy them
(For exemple if i am Engineer Class LvL 82, i see the AM/Eng - WM/Eng - etc... in the list once you click on the "BUY" Button).

* But when i select it, it says that it is "updating skill list from server", ok.
* But never gives me a Valid Skill list where i can buy the related skills after.

Most of the times, i close the "L" Menu and re-open it and the "BUY" button is available again asking to choose a Subclass again.

I know, they were locked on the DC server and are not anymore from few time. I Just wanted to test it all for myself, to see how the things will go in future with these nice ideas of Subclass and all, but I AM STUCK atm.

I think my problem perhaps comes from the Ini file that may doesn't have all needed lines to make this works how it should be.

I do not believe Dru's subclass version is available as yet.

So, just to use them, there is a way, which one ?

Now the problem i have is really boring.

Since last moment my server crashed, i get this error :

"ScriptLog: ++++++++++ GI ValidateSubClassData problem player -=MZC=-Anthrax couldnt process. StatsInv:None"

I even tried to reinstall it completly (UT2004, patch, UT2004RPG, DruidsRPG, Monsters, Mutators...) x2 Times...!

I allways end up with this error.

I enter the game, and i got a "forced" reconnect, then STUCK in Spectator Mode.

Any idea to fix this, please ?

[EDIT] Found the Fix, it was the *** stock UT2004 Stats (in the UT2004.ini) that were causing this problem. Once i DISABLED them, it FIXED the problem totaly, it seems. I Posted the answer just in case some other people have same problem, hope it will help in this case.

Not really. I'm an administrator, not a programer.

I know someone who knows, and who has successfully done it too. Just look under Tony in the forums and try and give him a PM and see if he'll help you out.

Well you got further than I did. I tried to get DruidsRPG226 to work offline so I can get my character builder more up-to-date. I got as far as getting the mutators active but no classes appearing and only default RPG abilities.

Really, whats needed is the ini files that are used by RPG so state what abilities there are for each class (and sub class) to work offline as they are not downloaded via cache but are kept server side I'd assume.

Maybe someone could look at updating the DruidsRPG download from v200 as thats a tad old now don't you think?

Only Dru and Shan can do that.

To duckboy, if you extract the Druidsrpg226 from your cache, you will have all needed files.

For the *.ini lines to add, I can send you a Copy of the one I use if you want Duckboy, but as stated in this post, atm, you can see the Subclasses, but not VALIDATE them to choose them (cause each time, it gives you a map-reload like a "reconnect" in console and the Subclass is reseted back to "none"...)

Hope someone will tell how to do or put it in the "next" release, (if it happens one day, case it is true that since the V200 in download links, there is no real "new" stuffs "officially" released in download section)

It is a semi-official release, I would sa, as people know that everybody can use a Cache extractor...

so tell me if you need and, if someone got an answer to my ORIGINAL POST question...

Well I've been looking over DruidsRPG v200 thats downloadable and quiet a bit of it looks like it's hardcoded in the .u file as far as classes and what abilities they can have. The ini files are for settings such as what the abilities allow like what monsters the monster summon skill can spawn. So maybe there's ability settings missing from your ini file that is causing this error?

Like you said, if you can see the sub classes then they must be in the .u file already set up, but without the extra ini content thats probably the main cause of the errors imo. Maybe sub classes have another seperate ini file for all their ability settings?

Sorry can't be any help on getting it working offline in UT. Seems pretty odd it reboots the game if all the subclass details are in the ini after all tho. I'd love to get it working offline myself too as I simply don't have access to every sub class that's available and it's also a bit unfair keep joining the server just to get skill information/etc.

If you do get any luck getting it working offline tho, be sure to give me a shout

Oh,

for info, don't trust the points needed to spawn turrets, i changed them to spawn a bit more, just to test, so it is not just 2 points

Other thing i added myself is engineer spawns ION Tank, this doesn't exist in DC "Official" Server atm
