My Broke computer

well it turns out that for some reason when I replaced my cpu fan/heat sink. One of my 1gb sticks of mem decided to stop working! For awhile I thought that the bios got messed up and was try'n to figure out how to flash it to fix it. Something got me messing with the mem and found it to work with 1 stick in but not 2, so then I tried the next step and found the bad one. I'm thinking that when I swapped out the fan I had to pull the mem to have room for my hands because I was fight'n the clip for the heat sink. after reinstall I noticed that the clip was pushing against 1 stick. I don't remember if I had turned the PS back on before deciding that I did not like it that way. So I pulled it and made sure I had my 2 1 gb sticks in, and then tried to start the system and thats when I had my problems. I'm thinking the bad one was next to the cpu and just having the PS switched on but not powered managed to have enough voltage to fry the stick since the clip was touching it between 2 chips. Well time to go into the basement and check my box O stuff and see if I got the pkg that I got it in from staples and see if I can get it replaced. ( ya gotta love life time warranties!) But I have job search and a ton of paper work for a labor board claim to do so I'm not gonna be on much

and I do miss playing!
