well Home depot called the other day and asked me a few questions after them having my online app for about 2 weeks. Well yesterday the called me in for a interview for today so with luck I'll have a new job! I really HATE having to do job search! not many places want'n us old farts for things these days.

I may be getting old and falling apart but I can sure can raise Hell and have fun doing it!  |

good luck dom! Us "old farts" need to re-invent ourselves every so often... the good thing is that with all our experience/wisdom/etc it shouldn't be too difficult.

Remember to always tailor your answers to the specific job you're applying for. Let them know that you understand both the company and the job. You want to let them know how you will help them with the job and improve on it instead of just saying generalized answers that would work somewhere else. You want the employer to think to themselves, "Wow, this person really knows this job and what he/she is doing!"

Any updates Dom? I feel your pain.....been looking for new job lately myself. Not much fun for us "old farts"
I wonder who the oldest flatulator (regular player) is on UT?
Anyone over 55?

OK, I won't tell you "I lost my job" but....
....I'll just say I'm paycheck challenged right now
I'll be 47 later this year (you win).  I guess you're the oldest "fart" until someone else owns up! My oldest son (Fog Raider) will be 21 on Sunday. Making me feel even older!
I hope I'm still playin' UT when I'm 58 and beyond. Maybe 3 generations of ZOG's can play at the same time someday. There's a good life goal!

well did a 1st interview today for a maint. job at a sports complex...seemed to go good well find out if I get called back in march. as for B-days mine is officially @ about 11:28 pm today the 18th of Feb and its my 51st
