Ghost nullifies weapon  XML

Every so often when I ghost, once I appear in another part of the map I am permanently stuck with the weapon I had when "killed." I can't switch to anything else, not even my trans, so when this happens on higher waves I'm done for. Even worse, half the time the weapon I'm stuck with doesn't harm enemies at all. The only way to get back to normal is to die or disconnect/reconnect. It's been annoying, but I didn't care too much until last night (11/22/10 1:30am MST) when it cost us the match; I'm pretty sure one of the players wanted to punch me since he was left alone to face off against two dozen level-700 warlords.

I know reporting this type of thing isn't much help without providing some kind of error log or coding reference, but I'm not sure how to get that information. Could someone tell me how to access it so I can get it the next time the bug occurs?

even when im not a mod or anything in the server here are few guides.


1) when something happens, quickly write down the exact time, and map
2)when something occurs, type in the game mods look at this. (i dont know if this is helpful, but try it why not?)
3)take a picture (impr pant)
4)post everything
5)wait (it might take some time, but eventualy can be solved)



as for your problem, so far i havent got it not in the whole time, but there are many bugs (like the highlander bug, it only has happen to me once , and had to reconect )

that happens every so often, usually due to lag if I am not mistaken. it will stay with you till the server goes to a new map or you disconnect (for the purposes of the client, you did disconnect when it goes to a new map) same for if you cant see your own shots, enemies, constructions, etc. a couple days ago I was the last one left and was unable to see the monsters... I didnt last long

Update: I think I've found the cause of the bug (not coding-wise, but as far as what in-game event triggers it): ghosting right in the middle of changing weapons. It happens every time I try to switch to my trans and ghost before the swap animation can complete (no, I don't have Speed Switcher.) It also explains why the bug happens to me every time I use the deemer on a nearby enemy and end up ghosting, since the gun is out of ammo and automatically switches after firing. Here's an example that happened today:

1/19/11, 1:29pm MST, BR-TwinTombs. When I reappeared, it said "translocator" on the screen as though I selected it, yet I was stuck with my shield gun, couldn't change, and although I could fire, there was no muzzle flash and it didn't affect the wall or floor. Plus, when I hit the secondary fire once, it acted as though I were constantly holding the button down and drained the ammo completely.

I'm not sure how relevant this is, but another observation I made is that this bears a striking similarity to when we beat wave 16 and, rather than going into third person view or being able to move around freely, we're stuck in place with the weapon we have equipped, and though we can "shoot", no projectiles are fired and there's no muzzle flash. Of course, with this bug, movement isn't impaired, but the weapon state is similar.
