Game crash with error

The game crashes for me and I don't know if it is the same error every time, but the following is the current error message. If anyone has any suggestions as to why it is crashing, any help would be appreciated.:

I am playing the new WM/ENG hybrid.

I do get kicked off a lot too Dommi. I usually get that message once in awhile if I die in game.

Yes, it does seem to happen a lot when I die, and not in a turrent either. It happens when I am just standing fighting for my life as I am being swarmed by man eating creatures.

Make sure you don't have your anti-virus running in the background while you are playing UT; it can hog a lot of resources your computer needs for the game. (This is especially true if you are using Symantec or McAfee products.) Another resource-hungry activity to avoid would be streaming internet music while playing UT.

Besides making sure you close all open applications before playing UT, I'd recommend defragging your hard drive, and running a disk scan. Both are outlined in the guide here. (You will want to download the 'Regular Edition' Win XP Guide on this page, and then unzip the PDF file somewhere handy, like to your desktop.) Then go to page 76, where the 'Windows Disk Defragmentor' is mentioned for step by step info on how to defrag your drive. For running a disk check scan, go to page 204, and follow the directions under the section titled 'Step 5- Run a Disk Check'. (Note that depending on the size of your drive, this scan could take a couple of hours to finish.)

If you keep getting the error after doing both things, then look in this guide further for tweaking your computer's performance. (I used to typically get errors like what you describe and following the advice there fixed them.) Also worth looking at is your in-game settings. Excellent advice on this from the same author can be found here.

I don't think that other programs are taking up resources as this hasn't been a problem before in my couple of years playing this game on this server. Though I will try to keep in mind what I have running and close any applications that I don't need.

I do however think that Defraging may be needed. I will try to do that later today and see what happens.

It's a bug when you die with the classes that spawn things, like monsters for medics and constructions with engineers.

I'm pretty sure there is nothing you can do on your side besides just start up ut and join again.
