special class weapons  XML

hey i am just curious if it is possible to get special weapons for each class? i have some weapons in mind but i do not know if you would want to or not

kinda do already for Medic and Engineer. AMs use adren more than ammo, so they seek energy weapons mostly. and WMs like anything that causes lots of damage. As it sits, I think things are as they should be. If we give the AMs a E weapon of choice, then you gotta give the WMs a Piercing or +4 of choice..and so on.

My current skin After several other skins, I have reverted back to Bender.

I'd like to see class weapons be enforced.

My suggestion would be to have any class that has a class weapon (engineer, medic and general if they have loaded medic/engineer) have the "normal" weapons damage reduced by 50% of normal when they use them.

too much "out of class" weaponary being used.

sure there are downsides... but that's part of it =))

im talking about a actual weapon not weapon type like the portal gun or something like that know what i mean?

For XAMs, the E weapon runs out of ammo to quickly, and since you only get adren while you are hitting bugs with it, I have found a lucky to be much more affective at getting me extra adren (along with health and the occasionally used ammo). But yea, Medics and Engis have their weapons, and the WMs of any level generally start favouring piercing.

Yes I want the package called Weapons of Mayhem.

They add a Linkgun that its alt fire link to the vehicles and you can hook on them.
The rocket launcher when It explodes fire come out from it and burn the enemies.
The Shockrifle of mayhem ( I luv this one ) shoots beams and plasma balls of colors : red, white, blue, rainbow, yellow, green and orange the weapon picked gets randomly a color. The beam and plasma balls when they hit the floor, wall or any inanimated object they rebound just like a mirror effect.

They would be pretty effective for the class enhaced weapons master.







And the Sticky translocator for Engineers
Allows your translocator beacon to stick to objects, vehicles, and players. You can imagine that there's quite a lot of ambush, hide and spying potential with this one.

Ahh... you want Llllaaaagggg! I am familiar with those weapons, and in some ways they are great, but... all the bouncing weapon fire, all the AoE for the fire, etc. means more for the server to keep track of, and more data which must be transmitted to all players. This is one reason why we had to reduce the number of spider mines we could use, and why certain weapons had their rate of fire reduced.

eek the silliness a small square map ! with spam galore !
there was a weekend that DC was down and i hopped on some "other" servers ,and I found the gameplay simply inferior. The difficulty was GODLIKE and the weapons were out of control.Lower level players had no chance at all.
UT3 RPG has a couple of cool weapons I remember rocket launcher/link gun of bounce but the spam it creates is nuts
