Bad bad happenings on the server

I have played three maps in a row now. Each time like the Hatter has stated earlier doesn't succeed a completion. Each time mid-way, there is a crash where you disconnect from the server, when you type reconnect and reconnect, it occurs you have lost all your stat points you gained in the previous match.
If it was a one off it wouldn't be so bad but three times, i hoped you guys could check it out as it's quite serious.
As for me- three times i went from 64-65 due to the loss in data.

There are two types of crash - a server crash and a client crash.

On a server crash everyone loses their points and it restarts on a new map. People lose any xp they have gained since the last time the server did an auto-save.

The other crash is a single client crash, where your UT crashes, but other people keep on playing. In this case the server just thinks you have disconnected. Any xp you have earnt you will keep. When you reconnect, your score and your adrenaline will be zero, but any xp will still be there.

There is a bug at the moment which means than when an engineer, a general or a medic class die, they stand a good chance of crashing. But you should keep the xp.

It sounds like these were server crashes, if your level dropped back from 65 to 64 each time. Presumably it also jumped to a new map?

actually i dont know if im guilty or i just have bad luck, but lately when i join the server crash everytime (i use my AM) we get like wave 7 or 8 and then "paff" server goes off.

and yep we have been losing EXP, in my case i have lost like 6k or more EXP, which is kind of annoying.

szlat, do u want me to keep record of the server disconections? maps? and stuff?

You can if you like. However, if you see a common factor causing the crash, I would prefer it if you PM'd me.

Most server crashes are down to map bugs, or bugs in the underlying UT/RPG code. But of course our code affects which bits of the main code are called.

I found out today that one cause of crashes is people using vehicles/turrets without having the auto-eject skill. Elite told me that this causes server crashes.

i think that was a bug and it was fixed?

I don't know if this auto eject bug wasn’t fixed or a server crash was timed perfectly, but I witnessed this first hand last week. My engineer made a mini turret and a low level player jumped into it for titan wave. Well, as a rock hit and killed the turret, my screen froze witnessing this event and the server crashed. Ironically, Elite was talking about this bug prior to the incident.

actually few days ago i crash the server ( i wasnt aiming for it. of course) we were in dm-curse (invasion) and there was a low level trying to get the DD, and i was there first, so i cover the hole with my body, then the wall went down and instant killing me. the server crashed then.

actually im partialy sure i can replicate that.. well not replicate but get it closer.

try this.. build a bender in dismemberment and put it in a small room, with a ceiling close to the bender. then monster swarm u and just die, and let the eject botton activate .. u will see that might crash server. try it.. :d or well, better not try it. . .

i have the feeling that events that make the enviroment like the ceiling-door in curse, or events like eject and hit the ceiling cause harm to the server

well I know from experience that benders in low ceiling places and it being destroyed means my death! being ejected and having bender smash into you = instant death. and I like to stay alive and kill me some critters!

but there are a few maps I like to put benders in
