Never used one but I know that I like logitech and that so far most of their stuff is quality and lasts fairly long. I have a logitech mouse and keyboard that's lasted for over five years now. . I couldn't imagine the headset being any different.

Never had a logitech headset, but only ever had logi mice (trackballs actually) and my KB. My headset is a pair of studio headphones from audio-technica. No mic tho...just the cans.
All I can say is you get what you pay for...no matter who makes it. Logitech usually makes good stuff, but they make budget stuff as well. Best thing to do is hit the sites that show customer ratings and see what other say about them.

well the wife got the Logitech clear chat stereo headset that wally's had on the self for father's day and at 1st the mic did not work but I pulled the sound blaster card I had stuck in the case but had a prob with(and Have not since checked it out) but had it disabled in hardware, and surprise it worked!
now all I need to do is disable the on board sound chip and see If I can get the card to work. the main drwaback in this whole thing is the headset uses mini plugs and if I want my speakers to work I gotta crawl under desk to swap plugs! since I don't have front jacks on case was want a usb set for that reason since I have a hub that makes it easier to hook up instead get'n on hands and knees under desk

The one thing I have not liked about the Logitech headsets, at least the non-usb ones, is that they have a tendency to fail in that stupid in-line volume control. I will constantly have to fight to get one of the channels to come through, and once I get it working, the slightest thing will cause it to cut out.

hmmm well if it crashes and I don't wanna screw with the store I can try to wire past the control unit since I've read that elsewhere also on many brands
