Been working on my pc for the last 2 days. One of my video cards blew and somehow corrupted the OS. Tried to reload Win 7 and it kept stopping at a certain point. Finally gave up and reloaded XP.
Now I gotta go thru the RMA process to get a replacement card and limp along on one card.

my vid card is a radeon x1050 agp version.
AND no road ya whippersnapper! its like a yr old my old card was a radeon 7000!
and plz remember this poor old computer is only a asues a7v333 with a amd 1700+ chip with just over 2 gig of mem I've had this set up about 6 yrs now. i built it the year after my daughter was born with tax money and since I've been using all the money to keep up on the bills!  or the wife gets her hands on it before i do!  for crap she thinks the kids need but they don't!...got toys in basement cuz they can't keep stuff picked up!

it has been known to do that spike but on very rare occasions something go screwy with the chip/software for the vid card and it goes bonkers and manages to trash all sorts of stuff in the OS. but the last time I believe I heard of it happening tho was back with win95 the crappy OS that it was!
