As I have heard from a number of players who play on their AM's... the Energy Shield is hardly worth spending points on, can there be more levels added to make the skill more efficient. Like less adrenaline consumption per damage intake.

I concur with Elite
I've noticed it can gobble up a large amount of adren if you have it available
for me it has been a mostly pointless skill (bought it after lvl 130)
It seems to only use up large amounts of adren and I usually still die when it does activate
and when I might need it more I usually don't have the available adren (I use a LOT of adren killing things )

this is just my experience though

my suggestion would be to make it use less adren and give less health, or have it drip in health at adren cost

Maybe make it an artifact, so it can be turned on, and off.
Like a protection artifact

we have the Globe of invul already though

From a previous thread I made... and szlat commented on it, I was arguing to reduce when the skill got activated from 10 health to 1 health which would be more reasonable. But due to a bug he mentioned it was not possible. What about 2 health or 3, as the minimum? This would make it a bit more efficient.

Also I didn't want to bring Hobo into this... but he did mention that at its current state the energy shield was just not worth it. Meaning he scored more without it. Every time he wanted to kill something and he was at low health he most likely was on low adrenaline and so he disliked the skill. Because of that, he restarted his AM character.

So, if the Energy Shield is currently underpowered, two options would be
  • Double the power, so it only uses half the adrenaline
  • Change what it does. How about when you get to 5 health, it checks if you have a globe, and activates it automatically, instead of using adrenaline itself?

  • I like that idea because two solid hits 5 seconds apart will drain all your adren and still leave you dead

    but having the globe activate will give you a chance to run,recoop ,and not necessarily lose all your adren

    but the cost should probably be a little higher IMHO because that is a fairly powerful/useful tool

    okay so when you get to 5 health the skill will automatically activate?...what if a titan hits you with a rock? meaning instant death... will it activate it upon impact sparing you your life?

    That's the thought. But it may be a bit too powerful. Thoughts?

    It could be too powerful... but a Titans rock should kill you outright so ...
