The time is near for Thanksgiving. Post stuff on what you do for Thanksgiving and so on. My parents (I'm still 11) are having their anninversery on November 29. So Post On!

Just staying home and having some family/friends over.

Happy thanksgiving every1. Will be a quite day in the Monkey house. Will be having chicken. Only seasonal thing today will be a pumpkin pie. We may skip the chicken and go right for the pie..

Happy Thanksgiving to you all, my brothers and sisters! Turkey just went in, all the other fluff is setup and waiting on the sidelines for the right time. (pies are cooling on the table, very hard not to dig into them for us too FlakMonkey).
Laid back day, going to watch some movies (Wizard of Oz is a must, and we picked up Lampoons Christmas Vacation yesterday to watch.) Made a cheese platter for the three of us, and picked up a nice local ( the winery is only about 8 miles away. They have been up there for a few years, but this is the first year wines have been available.)bottle of wine to try with dinner.

Pretty much the same here--the usual Thanksgiving dinner with smoked turkey and all the fixings, including pecan pie. All washed down with sangria wine.

No Thanksgiving bananas?

It has been a long week at work (work and trying to deal with some legal paperwork), but after work last night, my wife and daughter picked me up at work, and we left straight from campus to head down here to SE Ohio. My sister-in-law is renting my childhood home from me, and being far larger than the 800sq.ft. place we live up in Pittsburgh, it made sense for us to come down for Thanksgiving.

Today, we had a late "lunch" Thanksgiving dinner of turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, other things and.... PUMPKIN CHIFFON PIE!!! (I think you can tell what my priorities were/are). I was just eating another piece, but my Mother-in-law, sister-in-law, wife and teenage daughter all managed to produce a wonderful meal. Way too much chaos of the three kids, but it was worth it.

Tomorrow... off to make some copies and mail papers to the parties involved, then driving around to see some places I have not seen in months. And after some similar things on Saturday, back up to Pittsburgh since there is a special service at church, which will include a talk by Randy Pauch's oncologist, fitting in with our theme of Finitude, which is going to be worth going at 9:30 instead of 11am. (I go to the church where Randy was a member).

Hope all of you have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Even with all the BS in my life the past few years, I still have much to be thankful for. Including having some wonderful friends here on DC!

Oh... and on pies... the kind is important... Pumpkin is far better if it is pumpkin chiffon, apple pie is far better with the dutch crumb top, and it must be southern pecan.... just like it must be the dark mustard on hotdogs... Curnow and Floyd had the right of it there! (See 2010 quotes on IMDB if that one went past you!)

Oh to work retail on black Friday.....musta hurt hearing the alarm go off.
I got up at 5am (bladder said so) Got all my shopping done (I think). Amazon, the one stop shopping place...

it was busy off and on , but have'n 20 ppl in the store is a CROWD!!!!
and only have'n 2 registersti got stuck loading stuff and help'n ppl go in the right dir to what they wanted and some internet purchese's and 1 tv saletno commission tho

Thanksgiving was fun. Parents came out to visit, which was really nice. Boingo and I stuffed ourselves silly.

its so nice to hear what everyone did for turkey day! We went to my sisters house cuz she has the table that can fit all 16+ of us! altho i we were very disappointed in the turkey we had

it just tasted nasty and no matter how long it cooked it still looked raw. but with our big fam we always have 2 turkeys and so moms turkey saved the day lol! I made 72 deviled eggs and 2 homemade apple pies! All in all it was a ....good..ish and most interesting turkey day!
