What game, what platform, and why?

It's a wonderful time right now for gamers with the release of numerous high profile games: Dragon Age, Call of Duty Modern Warfare II, Assasins Creed II, GTA, and many others, so, tell us what you are playing and why.

I'm play House because I have to. The rules are to keep the house clean, the dishes washed and put away and all the laundry clean with the penalty being that if you don't take care of it...it builds up!! >

Well, I'm going a little old school right now, playing through the cabinet. (quake 3, call of dutys 1-mw1,splinter cells , etc) and hit L4D once in a while. My main go to game lately has been Oblivion ( a few days now). That game is massive! (All games in pc, btw.)

Hmmm, been thinking the same thing, have Quake 4 and Doom3/ROE that I haven't played and was thinking about loading them up. Unfortunately, a lot of the old games that I have cannot be loaded on XP.

well I have been going on and off with dead space, after electrician showed it wow i got hooked... then I also played a lot of prototype very nice story.
And then the last 2 games I got to play was FEAR 2 and Left 4 Dead... by the way Im waiting anxiously for Left 4 Dead 2 supposedly coming out tomorrow or so

have you tried to get the install to run in a compatibility mode?? or install ans then set the mode?? ahem its supposed to work anyhows
i got the 1st 3d game...castle wolfenstein 3d on 2 floppy disks! got the 1st MOH have i think all the desecent series cept the last one or the dungens& dragons one got a bunch of duke nukemoh and all the orig doom don't have the last one tho

aint sure if puter will run it!
But we don't have any game deck so it's all puter and the wife might get PO'D if i got a deck and played my shoot'n games on it! Oh and got the myst games too..never finished the 1st and you need info from that to do the others !lol

OH! and BB same with me if I don't help in keep'n house clean wife goes on warpath! and there's 2 lil girls that do the opposite of that!

I barely get to play this anymore. Internet has been on the fritz for 2 weeks now. I don't even get to study with any consistency and 70-291 is a biggie. so I have been working on our new website for our antique bottle collection. Almost ready to upload Beta 3.

If I had a chance, I would play L4D and Call of Duty series I think, but I dont bother buying them as I know I don't have the time.

I'm lucky to be on line right now. Seems to only work before they start working on the issue. Why is that? Wish Comcast would just tell us they are working on the issue and not to bother sending someone to the house to work on an issue that's not at our end.

actually after seeing Uncle Monster wander off to "Go shoot Zombies" I was curious and looked up some Vids for Left 4 Dead 2
It looks FUN think I'll get it...may have to wait a while tho just got a new vid card and the wife needs some "cool down" time till I get another "toy"

for now I just reloaded UT3 (I really need this game to be heavily modded like UT2004 it looks so good ) and am going to give it a try again.

Still got UT3 on my system, I just never get to play. And when I do on them rare occasions, I die real fast on the INV servers. Sometimes I will do DM or TDM on other servers to get a "fair" chance.

I try to get on with folks from DC, but no one seems to want to play.

I have uninstalled my ut3, I would get on if I knew others were playing

i probly would try to play but my system is sooo below the basic play set its a mirical i can even play but the graphics are sooo heavy that as i increse the res on it the slower it gets so , where i can see good enough to seee to shoot and kill its massive lag

I've been playing Kingdom of Loathing again, my other gaming staple. OMG handy character banner:

UT3 runs nicely on my system, and it's starting to grow on me a little. Roadkill, download mapmixer if you haven't already, it fixes a lot of the little annoying issues with the UT3 frontend and in-game menus (like having to load the main menu again just to pick a different map.)

Picked up Mass Effect on steam for $10, been enjoying that one, though it runs like crap. It's Unreal Engine 3 like UT3, so I expected it to perform better.
