We are 233 years old as a nation today. Only seems like yesterday they singed that piece of paper declaring us free of British rule. Hope everyone has a safe holiday while having rocket and mortar wars with your neighbors. Fun yes, but all is fun and games till someone looses a house.

It will be a quiet evening at the Monkey residence. No funds for any fun. We shall do some house work and I will probably study some more. Test is on monday...

Happy 4th all.

Weird thing happened at work.

I work for the Federal Government in a position that is shift security work.

So for the holiday, they moved the observed holiday to the 3rd. So those of us that work different shifts, could take the 3rd off, but not the 4th, unless you already had the 3rd off as a RDO. Of course all of this is contingent on having enough people, for my line of work but it seems like OPM changed the old rules just to mess with people.

So as a result, we did not have enough people on the holiday (the 3rd) so I couldn't spend time with my family, we had plenty of people on the 4th, but it was not the holiday so........

i hope everyone had a good 4th!! we went out to tooele, ut where my brother lives! i tell you what thats the place for illegal fireworks! the whole town was setting off big illegal ones! it was fun and they had the chief firefighter patrol the neighborhood but he never stopped at any houses. i have to say tho that they had the sorriest rodeo ever. the winning time for calf roping was 19 seconds. and only 2 people out of 20 actually got the calf. sadness!!

other than that i got roasted all day playing badminton with the family!! other than my mom getting hit in the head with a firework (lol shes totally fine!) and my brother (small burn) it went off great!!
Sand worms...ya hate em right?!
