i was just wondering why the triple damage doesnt work in a ball tureet? is this deliberate or a bug?

At one point, Druid put in a fix to exclude the triple working with certain weapon types - Vorpal, rage, piercing - because the combination was deemed too powerful.
This check for the weapon type also checks that the weapon is a RPGWeapon. This check will fail for turrets or vehicles.
I am not sure if the "not allowing of the triple in vehicles or turrets" was deliberate or just a side effect. Druid will have to answer that one.

I've never noticed a triple not working in a ball turret. Maybe I'll try to confirm this.

It will absorb the adrenaline as if it was using it but no extra damage is applied

it just seems strange as i can use globe and rod in a paladin and triple in an energy turret. i thought the energy and ball were about the sam so i just though it didn't make sense!

Well spotted. Ignore my previous post about it not being a RPGWeapon. Totally irrelevant
First, remember that the turret is a separate pawn in the game. When you operate a turret or vehicle, your normal pawn gets set to be the driver of the turret/vehicle, and the turret/vehicle pawn is the one controlled by your controller.
When activated, the triple damage gets applied to a pawn. If the controlled pawn is a vehicle (including turrets) then the Udamage flag gets applied to the driver, not to the vehicle pawn itself.
The Energy turret is a modified Onslaught turret, and when asked if they have a udamage, they check if the driver has UDamage.
The ball turret is a modified Assault turret, and they do not check. So the driver might have a triple running, but the turret doesn't. Which fits in with Elite's observation that it uses adrenaline, but doesn't affect the turret weapon.
Rod and globe don't seem to check if you are in a vehicle or turret.
So, regardless of what they currently do, should rod, globe and triple work in vehicles and turrets?
My thoughts would be triple/double yes, rod no, invulnerability yes.
What does everyone else think?

well rod works in a paladin for sure because i tried it yesterday and it works really well. i think the triple should work in the ball turret because its meant to be beter than the energy one and you get it at a higher level. at the moment theres no incentive to use it as u can use your triple in the energy turret and do massive amouints of dmg. i aso think rod should be useable in all vehicles.
