Does anyone know a site that is "safe" to upload and distribute some files? (Free is the word of the day, btw... ) I am taking some pics for Outside Up North of the Tour of the Battenkill Pro/Am Cycle race here in Cambridge, and I want to be able to plop them on some free web storage so the author can pull them off.

I use FileDen. It is completely free and has a lot of storage space. Unfortuneately it has LOTS of adverts. I usually get about 5 pages when I log in. Other than that it is a very useful site.

I've been using MediaFire to host the DC skins files. So far I haven't received any spam and the ads are sparse. It works pretty fast (and it's free):

I actually didn't know about the ads on mediafire until I used a computer without the adblock plus plugin for firefox.
