I was in a charting mood this morning.

Weapon Effects by order of Maximum Damage Bonus:
Code:
Title Max DB	Per	Effect
Vorpal +10	100%	10%	adds possibility of instagib
Rage +10	100%	10%	extra damage at cost of your health
 Vanilla	+4	40%	10%	none
 Piercing*	+6	30%	5%	ignores damage reduction
Null Entropy	+6	30%	5%	targets stop moving
 Freezing	+6	30%	5%	targets move slower
Quickfoot	+5	25%	5%	lets you walk faster
 Vampiric	+7	21%	3%	gives you vampirism
Reflection	+7	21%	3%	reflects energy weapon damage
Lucky +7	21%	3%	stuff appears in front of you
Penetrating	+4	20%	5%	shots travel through targets
 Force +5	20%	4%	projectiles move faster
 Infinity	+4	20%	5%	doesn't use ammo
 Knockback	+6	18%	3%	throws target back
Sturdy +4	16%	4%	nullifies knockback effect from monsters
 Energy +3	9%	3%	gives you adrenaline
Poison*	+4	8%	2%	adds damage over time
Medic +6	6%	1%	same as healing, only available to medics
 Protection	+4	4%	1%	reduces damage taken
 Healing	+3	3%	1%	heals teammates

*Weapon effect allows it to do more damage than chart indicates.

As a sub-100 junkie, I tend to prioritize weapons more or less in this order:
Vampiric
Piercing
Energy
Vanilla
Lucky
Null/Freezing
Infinity
Poison

Vorpals are a nice touch too but I don't usually use the shock or sniper, as they require me to try to aim.

Discuss. Which weapon effects do you prefer?

I personally like poison when I am on a low level char going against titans or warlords or queens. poison dot is super effective at high health monsters.

Damage comes off of Current Health NOT Max Health.
Dot time is 4 seconds

Modifiers
+1 = 5%
+2 = 6%
+3 = 8%
+4 = 10%
+5 = 14%
+6 = 18%
+7 = 24% (Not Possible to make)
+8 = 31%
+9 = 40% (Not Possible to make)
+10= 53%

so a poison 4 will take off 10% of current health for 4 secs. if the damage is negligable... aka assult rifle... then 12 secs of poison will kill a titan. should also be 12 secs for anything else too but because the damage gets rounded, a lower health monster might have it be slightly less. I typically shoot 1 titan, move to the next, next, next, then back to the first. the poison dot does NOT stack on top of itself so if you hit it once with a poison to apply the dot then again, it does not get 2 dots running at the same time. a wm getting overrun on titan wave should try 1 poison hit of whatever, then switch to piercing. that way you get the dot and the piercing dmg.

EDIT: I think titan health is somewhere around 1600. therefor a poison 4 does 160 for the first sec, 144 the next, 130 next, 117 last. thats 551 damage or 34% of its max health not counting any weapon damage during that time

Normal titans and stone titans are 900, titanium titans are 1200

Piercing is always a top priority for high level players.

After that, for me it would be freezing (mini is best).
Then energy (flak or RL)....but energy becomes useless if I'm the last one alive or only high levels players are left.
Poison would be next on the list (pref a link).

All the other effects after that in no particular order.
Vorp shock 11 + double magic modifier + berserk + titan wave = FUN!

The best bang for the buck, and my dream weapon setup is always:

Pierc 7 flak
Energy 4 RL
Freeze 7 mini
Poison link
Vorp shock

In the later waves, the combo of freeze, then poison, then piercing flak is a quick death for any monster.

Freeze mini is indispensible against dodging monsters....especially warlords. It's tough for AM's when you don't have an AVril. Freeze, then finish with a piercing flak.

For me,

1. piercing
2. null
3. freezing
4. vorpal

The rest I have no particular preference.

Piercing
Vorpal , (i have a great aim, therfore i almost dont miss shots with the shock rifle---if the vorpal bonus is low it goes after null/freezing)
null / freezing
rage(well it goes second or first place in titan wave)
energy
poison

The Hatter: …which is just the case with mine.

I typically only use 4 weapons regularly:

1. Flak
2. Shock**
3. mini
4. link

my order of preference:
1. piercing*
2. freezing
3. null
4. poisen

*w/ flak, rage is just as good as piercing, maybe better, and if I have a vamp anything to go with it then I'm happy, healthy and mowing them monsters down!

**favorite weapon is vorp shock 10 (I have decent aim with the shock)

this is all assuming there's an AM on that can max. It all changes when I'm forced to deal with lower modifiers. i.e. I'll toss a null flak 1 for a reflecting 5. But I have to keep any piercing weapon or I'm toast when lower level players are dead.

You better call Kenny Loggins. 'Cause you're in the danger zone!

Depends on what guy I'm playing
WM: rage then piercing then energy flak
LA: energy flak, vorpal shock and I'm a happy camper, specially if I can get that shock maxed out before wave 6
