Making My Own Server

A while back say almost a week ago I was chatting about my ideas for the server. The people on DC at that time suggested why not create my own server. That's when I decided to do so. I found tutorial videos on AdrenalineParty.com and have only one question that remains. How can I have my server running without stopping say when I turn off my computer. Do I have to host it on another network or something?

You need a dedicated machine separate from your pc if you want to run a 24/7 server. As to hosting, be prepared to pay your ISP co-host.

Well then maybe I'll just make a server not 24/7 but have it dedicated while my PC is on and I'm playing on a different server or I'm just doing something else. I just hope it doesn't leech my bandwith.

If you keep the number of players small, like 6 or so, you might be able to run thru a 4 port router and using the #1 slot for the server and your personal pc on #4.
