Alright possible stupid question, however I have the nastiest looking computer screen I've seen and I'm not quite sure what I can use to clean it fully so it's back to cleaner than clean. There's bunches of blotches and what not all over the screen along with dust build up. It's an LCD screen and I was told NOT to USE WINDEX for it WILL RUIN LCD. Anyone mind helping me out?

I'll just tell you what I use.
The best thing to do is buy a cleaning cloth, like the type you'd use on eyeglasses. They sell them at the big box stores. It's sorta like a shammy. Just wet it down with plain old water, then wring it out so it's just damp. Wipe down the screen gently. It should remove fingerprints, smudges, etc. Let the cloth dry, then seal it up in a ziploc baggy or something to keep the dust off it.
Just be sure that you use a cloth that is dust-free each time so as not to scratch your screen. Use a clean, clean, cloth each time....and damp, not wet.
Keeps my LCD tv and laptop screens looking great!
