My new toy

Most of you know by now I recently bought my own computer. Some of you have been asking what kind of computer I bought. Everything was from newegg.com except for the monitor, that was bought from buy.com. Here's the list:

lol. It barely does that. The battery only lasts for an hour now, which is all the more reason to upgrade... but that also requires a steady income! yaaaaay life!

I have to disagree. You are correct that AMD was cheaper and more powerful than Intel-----5 years ago.

Now, my old QX6700 processor will beat the AMD Phenom hand down and it is cheaper..........

I can't disagree with you, because I haven't used either, but how are you comparing the two?
It is getting more difficult to do a proper benchmark between two components because of the other components involved.
CPU A may perform better than CPU B with one mobo setup, but it is possible to get the opposite results with another combo.

As for bang for your buck...if the intel processor costs twice as much, shouldn't you get twice as much performance?
