I came up with the idea that on my medic, I'd turn on the globe if I'm in trouble, and heal myself with my healing rocket while I can't take damage. well ya can't... which is annoying because I got the idea from wm's healing themselves with their vamp wile running globe. can this be addressed?

It makes sense why you can't. Healing weps convert damage to health, If you can't damage yourself then you can't heal yourself. I think it is a limitation of using godmode for invunerability
Why not use health blast instead...seems like you could heal yourself faster and with less dren.
edit: plus you should have blast binded as a medic...you might not have invulnerability binded

reason... heal blast takes time... globe does not. usually by the time the heal blast goes off I died already. globe goes on instantly and I was trying to heal myself that way

It probably has to do with how they operate. In the code, globe probably stops you from taking all "damage", whereas the healing weapons calculate the damage you "take" based on your relationship to the shooter. If you're on the same team, you take "negative damage". Not on the same team? "Positive damage".

Sorry. Just the way things were coded up.

I think I have been healed by someone with a healing weapon while running invulnerability. Next time I am in the game and things are not crucial, we may have to give that a try.

You cannot heal yourself while globing using a Healing weapon. However, IIRC others seem to be able to heal you (Note: I haven't tested this, but it's how I remember things working).

Things which don't inflict any damage to calculate healing (e.g. Artifacts) will also heal you regardless of whether bGodMode is true or not.
