So I'm gonna get LIVE for my 360 but first I have to connect it to the net with either the Ethernet cable or Wireless adapter.
Would I be able to connect the Ethernet cable to the back of my computer and then buy LIVE? Will it work that way?
I can't connect the Ethernet cable to my internet box because it's all the way in my living room.
And I don't want to buy a Wireless adapter because they cost $70 Used and $100 New. I will if I can't just connect my 360 to my computer tower.

If I'm understanding your question correctly, your main hookup is in the living room and your pc is some distance away. How is your pc hooked up to the internet?

You can hook the 360 up to the pc using the ethernet cable but you will have to play the 360 with the pc turned on when you are playing Live online.

My cable box is located about 60 feet away from the room that I use for the computer room.

I ran a cable from the cable box to the computer room, then to a cable modem, and then hooked the pc and xbox to a high speed router coming off the cable modem.

This way, I could play online with either the pc or xbox without having the other device on.

Awesome, thanks for the info.

Also I had heard that running LIVE with the Ethernet cable can cause the 360 to heat up/over heat faster, compared to using a wireless network adapter. Do you know weather or not that's true?

Interesting, I have an intercooler but I wouldn't mind having that.
