This is probably a stupid question, but...

1) How can I remove the Super Shock Rifle from the Familyroom map?

&
2) Eventhough I set a maplist config it isn't "active" or whatever you want to call it when I host a network game. How can I apply it?

Thanks again!!

Look for the "ssr=0" phrase in the config file. If it shows a "1", you need to change it to "0"

It's somewhere in the file-try using "search".

I'm not sure where it is that I'm supposed to look for "ssr=0". I can't find it anywhere. I tried looking in all the .ini files that I have in my UT2004 folder. Even through the configuration settings files.

Does DC run a mutator to replace them?
I seem to remember looking at the list of mutators in the server browser and seeing something that mentioned shocks?

I would swear that I saw the ssr in a list of weapons somewhere in the .ini files, but for the life of me, I cannot find the file anywhere. If my memory serves me correctly, all weapons are listed as they are loaded from the original UT2004 discs, including the ssr.

Not a huge deal, we just agreed not to use the SSR. Now, I know the DC server has alternate scenario maps (i.e. CTF or ONS) enabled for INV, but how can I enable it on my LAN server?

Not entirely sure as it was a long time ago I looked at it. On my test server, in the UT2004.ini file, under heading
[xVoting.xVotingHandler]
I have, amongst the other entries,
MapListLoaderType=xVoting.DefaultMapListLoader
GameConfig=(GameClass="SkaarjPack.Invasion",Prefix="DM,BR,CTF,DOM,ONS",Acronym="INV",GameName="Invasion",Mutators=,Options=)

and later on I have

[xVoting.DefaultMapListLoader]
bUseMapList=False
MapNamePrefixes=DM,DOM,CTF,BR,AS

So, not sure if you need both bits or not.

If when you are joining the DC server you look at the list of mutators etc in the bottom left, one of the lines reads
Mutator mutReMut
and further down
ReMut Replaces SuperShockRifle -> ShockRifle, SuperShockRiflePickup -> ShockRiflePickup, ONSPainterPickup -> PainterPickup

So I think DC uses the ReMut mutator to replace the SuperShocks.
I have never downloaded ReMut, but I think you can find it here

Alternatively, I think there was a mutator called XxxXNoSSRv1 which would do it, but again I haven't tried it.

Again, I haven't used one, so do not know for sure - a server admin from any server will give you better advice. But in the UT2004.ini file, there is a heading

[Engine.MaplistManager]
with a line in it something like
Games=(GameType="SkaarjPack.Invasion",ActiveMaplist="Default INV")

This will say that the Default INV maplist handles the invasion games.

Later on, you find a section like
[DefaultINV MaplistRecord]
DefaultTitle=Default INV
DefaultGameType=SkaarjPack.Invasion
DefaultActive=0
DefaultMaps=DM-RRAJIGAR
DefaultMaps=DM-RANKIN
DefaultMaps=DM-CORRUGATION

and I think you add to the end of the list any maps you want to be in the list?

But under
[xVoting.DefaultMapListLoader]
bUseMapList=False
you may need to set bUseMapList to true.

Not sure, but some things you could try
