Today the server has crashed almost 10 times while playing. Really starting to get annoyed. Since power is out and this only thing i can play when its out. so would really like to know what problem is.

ok more detailed ...

last map that we played without server problem was

DM:goliath

after that we voted for

CTF-boomboombridge

later on, we couldnt even pass wave 2..

it seems that we can't get past wave 2 and the time that it did when the count down for level 3 ended it crashed. I know when we purposely died and picked our own map, it crashed immediately.

Help !!

Server keeps crashing every single map. Maybe in the first wave, or second, the server resets map (or crashes) and it's doing it constantly up to the point that is unplayable.

Hope someone fixes it ... need my fix for today


PS: Last nite (saturday) was playing well, this morning is when I and everybody else noticed the problem.

Yeah, server keeps crashing around wave 2. Its very annoying cuz we cant really play and none of our stats gets saved.

Shoota and I were trying to find a pattern, and I can tell you it is a pain in the batoot. I hope that this gets fixed soon

I guess I should clearify our findings, first off, there doesn't seem to be anything corrisponding to the time on the server or the time into wave 2.

if we beat wave 2, then it freezes during the countdown for wave 3.

it seems that if we choose the map, it freezes on wave 1.

after reading further, it seems that the patch is indeed writen by the guy that found and published the exploit, however (and this is what I have been reading), it seems that the guy did not write the harmful code that is destroying online play for thousands of users.

However: be careful about that patch!!

SUGGESTION: only download a patch from the developers of the game.

Well thats just a one person opinion. Attackers IP's (2 attackers) comes from different country that guy who discovered exploit. Dont think that it's a same guy. One just released information about exploit and now some Hungarian kids use that info to crash many servers as they can.

Patch seem to work very well at my server no crashes yet. Earlier it was like crash after every 3-4 mins.

first off, is there any proof that these two are indeed "kids?"

Second, how do you know if this guy doesn't have some plan, to get people to download his patch so that he can do other stuff with the servers. With just a line or two of code, one can create a lot of mistiff.

Haha Well it's just saying that when someone does something stupid he/she is kid. Of course i dont know how old attackers are. ->,
It's just dumb.

Well you can read patch code before adding it right? I did and it doesnt seem harmful to my eyes. I'm sure Druid will understand it. Seems like you dont. If i say aliens come to destroy earth today will you believe it?

Anyway i dont start argue about this i just told my opinion and that i did tested that patch and it seems to work well.

I didn't mean any harm by it. Just kinda mad that I was trying to search for the trigger of what contributed to the crashing, and I am rather frustrated.

I am sure Druid will know what to do, I just hope that he is careful about it.

Same here i would not like to see the server loose all of its stuff just because of one stupid person crashing all the servers.
