question about the poison dot  XML

the wiki says that a poison weapon does damage over time but not how much or for how long. so I have a few questions. how long does the dot work, how much damage during that time, and does the dot stack each hit?

Well I looked through the forums and found this formula

Damage=1.3^(Modifier-1)*0.05
Damage comes off of Current Health NOT Max Health.
Dot time is 4 seconds

Modifiers
+1 = 5%
+2 = 6%
+3 = 8%
+4 = 10%
+5 = 14%
+6 = 18%
+7 = 24% (Not Possible to make)
+8 = 31%
+9 = 40% (Not Possible to make)
+10= 53%

*+5 to +10 can only be achieved by an Adrenaline Master*

But dont quote me on it as thats what I get from the formulas. I believe thats the total damage done to current health over the 4 seconds.

The dot does NOT stack but hitting again with any poison resets the timer to 4 seconds and applies damage at the new modifier. So lowbie Adrenaline masters can Double a +4 Psn Mini to +8 and sweep a wide open area of titans. However, when they turn off the DMM, they should wait a sec until the psn runs it course or they risk changing the +8 dot modifier back to +4 dot.

Basicly, the more current health the monster has, the more damage it will do. Its worthless with low Hp mobs for the dot side of it.

Speaking from experience at Hanger2k4 with a psn +8 mini on titan waves, its very easy to get several hundred xp and not even kill a single titan by just spraying the wide open area and tagging the titans with a DMM poison effect. You can litterly see your xp jump by 3-8's every second depending on the number of tags.
