My vote: no
Why: it is supposed to be a generic (tank) character. It can use artifacts and has access to all weapons. It is also already balanced (all of this IMHO of course)

the WM is probably the most balanced class (with medics coming in 2nd IMHO ) it allows for multiple styles of play/strategy and has become my favorite to play, and need no "tweeking"

Maybe they need tweaking, I wouldn't mind listening to the reasoning why someone else thinks so, but as far as things go, weapon master is class least Dependant on other classes. that does not necessarily mean that they are under or off balance compared to the others.
As far as things go they are the most diverse as far as options to be successful with.

The only thing is that I wish I could contribute a bit more as a WM. Medics heal, engs boost shieds, AM's make/max weaps... WM's... well, we just sit there (or run around) grinning killing monsters.
I wish we could "taunt" - in RPG games, the "tank" usually has the ability to draw "aggro" and keep their attention with "taunts" (other names are used as well - like "hate"). It would be nice to pull a monster (or a group) away from the AM's or the medics using an ability (WM artifact?)

The Weapon Master is almost too self-sufficient, in my opinion. The only thing they can't do is roll their own weapons, a fault that's overcome by coordinating with friendly adrenaline masters (who are generally going to want to roll weapons anyway).
Personally I think the Damage Sphere and its like should have been Weapon Master artifacts. Not exactly team support on the level of the medic, or rolling weapons like an adrenaline master, but still useful to teammates. An ammo sphere or similar might also be useful.

oooo I live the ammo sphere! ammo is a big problem to people with only level 1 resupply and medics who use weps other than medic gun. cool idea

Actually, they are more efficient at rolling their own weapons than AM's. I have seen a number of high level WM that suicide near the end of levels, they get their death blast thingie and then they get all new magic weapons. You can tell when they got what they were looking for because they don't kill themselves anymore.
I think a pretty good AM can make 4 or 5 magic weapon attempts per wave. I seem to remember someone saying that they could anyway, but when an WM suicides, they all change out, and more than likely they are at least a level where all of their weapons will be magical.

Let's not make it sound like WM can just suicide and get all the weapons he/she needs Grizzled. Most of the time that I'm suiciding is so I can get a piercing, without a piercing I am no good AT ALL when I'm by myself. Many times I lose a good weapon(s) when I suicide so that I can achieve that piercing goal. I sometimes have to suicide up to four waves to get that piercing and then I hand it out. More times than not I throw my weapons to the nearest AM,MM, or engineer before doing that. I know...
