iv allready made a post about the link turret i no, but i still feel that it should be rentroduced. i appreciate that it was overpowered, and iom not asking for it to be put bak into the game as it was, but maybe a less powerfull version of it could come back. i hear that the main problem was that it could heal sentinels, so why not just remove the link beam ability from it? it doesnt have to be the most powrful turret, i just think the structure of it should be availible because it would make engineers a more fun class. i no engineers are a support class, bt medics ar too, and they play like a weapons master. so why cant we have link turret back?! its not like an engineer can even come close to any other class's score without a big bunch of them linking to a turret.
please could people message their views on it 2

Not to disparage your idea, but the fact is I regularly outscore my weapons master character with my engineer, with my engineer at 20 levels lower than my WM.
Just the same. I liked the link turret too, but it dident work with team play, kind of like the tank.

^^I have had similar situations where I outscore my 104 WM on my 45 engi. they really dont need any more of a buff. If the turret was added so it was more balanced, what would be the point? It would have to be nerfed to almost the point of uselesness.
although I've yet to see what was wrong with the goliath....

Exactly as I have told many of you guys, I don't really think many of the classes are overpowered, just seems the weapon master seems a little underpowered. My engineer on a normal game doesn't pass my weaponmasters score unless there are over 5 engineers on and all linking me otherwise my weaponmaster has the higher score, of course I have to struggle a bit. And for the engineers with the link turret why not make it just as powerful as one of the existing, we just want the structure we dont really care about the capabilities, you can nerf those, but we just want more diversity, make it more fun.

well my engi almost never dies as long as I can set up a base fast and well enough. thats with my medic being a higher level and my engi can't heal itself. having the link would make it overpowered since it does alot or damage. if you reduce the damage... why not just use any other turret? if all you want is a new skin... make a skin pack for them.

I know when I was playing my WM the link turret bullets would shoot down avril and redeemer rockets which was extremely annoying, not to mention the power generated when a few engineers were linking the turret. The link turret was removed for a reason....
you can blame Elite for most of it though LOL

Why do we need another turret ?
how is it going to make gameplay more fun ?
this server has an anticamper for a reason
the link turret also has a much too thin profile (from the front) and monsters usually miss it making it almost indestructible with higher level engineers
there were reasons it was taken out to begin with

I don't think you guys are understanding our proposal, we dont want the turret with all of the abilities we want the structure. In other words exactly what trooper said we want practically the skin...
Also you guys think the engineers are overpowered and yes you have probably very good reasons to believe it, but IMHO engineers are strong to begin with but dont get any stronger after level 90 only get to live longer. As for Weaponmasters at lvl 90 most of them have vamp 4 or 5 so that means they are only half way in making their character but for eng they are practically done. Same for medics at 90 they are just beginning to get there things its around level 200 when they have mostly all of their abilities maxed.
I also took this snapshot of a lvl 33 eng (DragonmasterE) outscoring a lvl 84 (Ghost_Recon) eng proving my point that they don't get much stronger... any thoughts?
With ghost also having a paladin here and there... should this be happening or is it fair? And if any of you have any doubts yes they both started the map at the same time.
Is this enough proof or do I need more or of different type or different people...

if I'm not mistaken ghost was letting dragonmaster use his paladin in SAE
and that is a lvl 33 eng almost on par in score with my lvl 191 LW (did have crappy weps that map in my defense lol )
