Oh where, oh where has my Monkey gone?

Greetings all. I know I have been AWOL lately. Take a seat, it's a long story (oh ya, your probably already sitting down)

About 6 weeks ago, the wife and I were enjoying movies with chilli on the stove for dinner. We started smelling something burning. Chilli was fine, so I sat back down. Smell get stronger...started to smell like....fried electrical wiRES! OMG! Ran into the computer room to meet a wall of smoke and my PC was dark. I knew then my PSU went belly up. I was calm, I did not worry about that, just the rest of the equipment and data there in. Data backup was last done in December so I wouldnt be too bad off if the HD got corrupted or "taken out". The PSU was still under warranty, it's a PC Power and Cooling unit with a 5 year and it's only been 4. Went thru that proccess with them and got a replacement (or they "fixed it") The replacement didnt work correctly. It turned on by itself. Plug it in and flip the master switch on the back and "You've got power" No need to plug any wires to the Mobo. The system didnt act right after it started booting up so I gook it out after a few failed troubleshooting attempts. So, back to the RMA process, which I'm still in the middle of. They sent a ship tag at no cost to me to send it back. I'm opperating on a barrowed 350 watt for the time being.

Fast forward a bit...

On mother's day, I called my mom to wish her a good day and talk with her and my dad. She was giving him a leg massage (he suffered from diabeties and his leg was swollen up real bad that day) Trying to get it to go down. Talked to my dad a bit. Been feeling rather bad lately, hurts all the time and all that. Well, later that day, he passed out and fell down. They took him to the hospital and found he had blood clots in his lungs. They were both there over night and I got the call from Mom the next day.
So that was scary.
The next day (Tuesday) I got a call from my wife in tears. My brother had called the house to tell us that my father passed away that morning in their home. This was not good. I flew out on Thursday morning to be with my Mom and family for 4 days to comfort and take care of business. This was so very hard on all of us. It still doesnt seem real. This is something that we all know is going to happen some day, but never can prepare for emotionally.

Anyway, I hope to be playing again soon, or at least pop in from time to time as it is spring and riding season is yet again here. Take care all!

I just saw you playin', and had not yet read about the reason for your absence. I am sure it won't be easy, but if it helps, you have friends like me who will gladly tear up titans with you any day.

Thank you everyone for you nice comments. On a happier note I failed to mention, the day after I got back from Nevada, it was our 1st anniversary. I didn't want to stay any longer than I had to so I could be home for us. Unfortunately, I had to work being a Monday. But was a good day all in all.
The weekend after was our 2 year anniversary of our fist meeting...so a double whammy.

My 2nd replacement PSU arrived this week. I will put it in tomarrow. I hope it works as I hate wiring. It's such a bother.
